Was working on a total restoration for my son, but money became tight. It's has two new front fenders, edlebrock carb, new radiator, all new brake lines from master to wheels. New gas tank and lines. Looking to get rid of quickly. Runs and drives.
I was seriously considering scooping that up, but it looked like it was in pieces in the other picture. Besides, I find that one car is good enough. That way you can spend your time, research, and money in one place and build one car with better attention to detail and such, rather than having multiple cars and nothing gets done besides fixing stuff when it breaks.

I think the "in pieces" picture was the front fender replacement mentioned in the ad. - Quote :

| That's about where I'm at Brian lol.. That's why I've decided to LEAVE THE WAGON ALONE. I did mufflers only because the stock ones were rotted. I couldn't care less how it looks, it works. The Fleetwood is DONE as far as I'm concerned. They are both fairly reliable daily drivers. When I get to Florida, my focus is going to be the Caprice and the Caprice only. | |

Most wives agree Lol true. HOWEVER, since my wife drove the 9C1 for the first time in 4 years, she wants an LT1 B body. She says she felt badass in it and had a big shit eating grin when she came back. Says it has to look all custom like mine. It's really nice to be able to focus on ONE B body. When I had the red '94 or the tan '95 they were always breaking. - GasTT wrote:

Kids will do that too. I spent a lot of time last summer with the caprice and not my family, even tho its better that way sometimes lol. Maybe when we buy a house this year, I can plan on more cars. That way they don't have to be moved, registered, etc on MY property. Another reason why I haven't shipped the aero coupe back up here. No space. I'd like to give that car a reeeeeeeal fine tooth comb rebuild you know? I feel rushed with everything in an apartment and people always watching etc etc.

| The wife likes your Caprice Brian. She liked VW beetles when I met her. Now her new love is unfortunately my Fleetwood. She likes the wagon too. She says when people look at her she hits the gas to make the exhaust rumble. What a showoff... and that's where all my gas goes lol | |

| Whenever people see a girl driving something different instead of a Corolla or something, they always make comments and stare, lol. It definitely gets my attention! I'm getting to the same point here. I've been driving the green SS all over for weeks, and yes, it needs a couple of things fixed, but it's fine the way it is, so I'm in no huge rush to do anything. I was going to get 2 new tires for the SS wheels but I don't even know if I'll do that yet. Probably just alignment and front brake pads, finish painting the undercarriage since that's mostly just a matter of laying on the ground getting dirty as opposed to $$$, maybe a few more things. I don't want to spend a bunch of money on it, and then have something else break after that's done. It's funny how when you first start driving you have the potential to dump thousands into some old car and then you learn your lesson after the fact! That being said, I do like that box Caprice. I felt the same as Brian, it made it sound like the car was apart still in at least the previous ads. I wonder what it would take to be a daily driver... | |

Will somebody buy this one already? It was for sale in Danville NH a few weeks to a month ago, I think. Don't know if it's the same seller but I want to say it was priced around that much before. I think it was correctly listed as a 1979 before too. http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/cto/3778983420.html

I think I saw this car at the Amherst swap like 7 years ago as well... Isn't that the "glass house" style? Haha, yep, they're called that a lot. I think it's because the windows are "big", but I personally feel an AMC Pacer would be more worthy of the name... I don't think I'd ever really want to ride on the back seat of one of these. Can't open a door to let yourself out, and no window back there to roll down. Not even a fixed piece of glass where the person riding would be looking out the window, just a huge B-pillar section. At least the 74-76 B-O-P cars on the B platform had a thin quarter window ahead of the b-pillar there that actually DID roll down all the way. A lot of people did not like these and the dealers were offering an altered vinyl top treatment that shrunk down the quarter windows to the size found on Cadillacs. The Caprice was the only one with windows that did not roll down, along with the C-bodies (Grand Ville, etc, but those still looked better) and E-bodies. I guess some people ordered the Impala Sport Coupe with Caprice options just so they could have different side windows and a hardtop. - 1984twodoor wrote:

Must've read your mind Chris. Lol Yeah, I almost shat myself when I saw that thing...that would make a cool business vehicle to turn heads and get attention...the rot around the wheel wells is a little scary but considering what that thing is, I'm sure you could cut some patches out of a junked Brougham and get it fixed...something to do with the conversion must be leaking water? The history of it is cool too
