Pretty nice 84 with an odd assortment of options.

It has the gauge package as well as the 350....kinda weird for a civi model with all the strainless trim...

I wonder if it is an 8.5 10 bolt as well??

350s only went in 9C1s I believe, if it WAS a 350 then its an LF9 (aka the lol fail olds diesel!) I think it's a safe bet that someone lied to him or he swapped in the 350. Very nice car though!

I've seen that gauge cluster before, the "fuel economy" gauge is cool! I like the idea of having a trip odometer too!

Could it be a diesel? There's an odd looking toggle switch on the dash. Glow plugs?

And why is the temperature gauge pointing the wrong way? scratch

Ya...always loved that

"Instant MPG"

It's a VERY powerful gauge, does lots of fast cutting edge calculations to get that data Cool

You think it's funny seeing that gauge in a 77+ car? You could get that fuel economy gauge in the 1975 Chevrolets- it's a vacuum gauge I believe, they had it in the "Econominder Gauge Package". Laughing

That RMS definitely seems worth checking out with that kind of mileage...

I really want a convertible and this caught my eye after watching them ruin one on Top Gear last week. The only problem is I don't think I can handle being seen near this car, even long enough to flat black over it it Razz

Drugs. Has to be drugs.

And Hunter S. Thompson didn't even do that to his scissor-top convertible!

Why did they destroy one on Top Gear? (I don't have cable. lol)

Not really destroyed in the typical fashion on the show (US Version). Thye had to build an RV, so they built a 2 story "building" on top of it and rolled it during a dirt race. You can watch it online at History's web site.

to me
Hi,

The vehicle is well maintained, never been damaged and it has 89,320 miles, a clear title, 5.3L V8 MPI OHV engine and is loaded with options. You will inspect it before the payment will be made, I moved to Williston, ND with my job and I have the vehicle here with me. The shipping and insurance are included in the price because I won a promotion at uShip(1 free shipping). You will also receive all the papers(title, bill of sale etc) in order to finalize the purchase with the vehicle. Email me back if you are interested and have further questions..

Thank you,

Where the 'F' is PROVO?

Also, it's bullshit. That's the classic Craigslist scam. Dirt cheap car/truck/whatever. Car is in another state, owner is in another one to.

I had a set and sold them to a guy for $500.
These I don't care if rusty or not. Can always re-spoke them.
I'd take a set of 14/15" knockoffs if I could find a set cheap,

Funny, I never really noticed the wheels. They look like hubcaps to me. If I end up with the car, we could probably work out something with the wheels. I sent him an email and left him a message on his voicemail.

I hope that, if that Brougham is as nice as it's said to be, someone here gets it. The interior is awesome! Doesn't seem to have a cracked dashboard. That's a fairly unusual combo AND it has the 350. However, the 350 cars didn't come from the factory with the wire wheels on them, so there's some investigating to do...maybe the owner just added them or something. One of those tires is an old 1.3" (?) whitewall. Cool

If I had the money or the room I'd have been changing my name to Joe and going to look at it! Wink

The paint looks thick enough where someone could bring it back to life too. Smile

Justin, why don't you go take a look at that Brougham? I mean, Justin and Joe both start with a J.

You could even be like J-Roc from Trailer Park Boys and steal luggage from the airport now that you have those wheels, "nome-sayne":

Thanks for carting my ass around New England today, Chris! Wink

Looks like the Marshmallow IS getting painted this year! Very Happy

Sucks cus the car had some nice options on it, hell the trunk pull down still worked. Wire wheels were nice enough to save.

But it had a lot more rust than the guy mentioned. He said the interior was mint.... face palm sagging liner, cracked panels, stitching on the seats were ripped, drivers seat was blown out and from an earlier year FWB.

Several wires not connected or plugged in, decent oil leak, spotted mickey mouse work in the engine bay, Ac compressor didnt work.
( it wasnt plugged in either, ask the guy and said he wanted to save the R12 for the summer. Razz) Told him you need the comp. to run the defrost and he looked at us like we had 7 heads, and he was the one with the repair plate and 12 other cars Suspect

It's $1000 car at the most..... but still wouldn't go over $800. something tells me the mileage is not correct and my gut tells me I've looked at this car before.

If he'd let it go for $1000 I'd be tempted to go get it. I'd take the wheels and relist the car for $500.

I offered him a grand before I saw it in person and he wouldn't take it. I wouldn't give him more than $800 now that I have...

Justin, why don't you go take a look at that Brougham? I mean, Justin and Joe both start with a J.

You could even be like J-Roc from Trailer Park Boys and steal luggage from the airport now that you have those wheels, "nome-sayne":

Thats pretty funny. That car has the same rear wheels I am rocking on my caprice lol.
