Pretty nice 84 with an odd assortment of options.
It has the gauge package as well as the 350....kinda weird for a civi model with all the strainless trim...
I wonder if it is an 8.5 10 bolt as well??
350s only went in 9C1s I believe, if it WAS a 350 then its an LF9 (aka the lol fail olds diesel!) I think it's a safe bet that someone lied to him or he swapped in the 350. Very nice car though! I've seen that gauge cluster before, the "fuel economy" gauge is cool! I like the idea of having a trip odometer too! |

Could it be a diesel? There's an odd looking toggle switch on the dash. Glow plugs? And why is the temperature gauge pointing the wrong way? |

| You think it's funny seeing that gauge in a 77+ car? You could get that fuel economy gauge in the 1975 Chevrolets- it's a vacuum gauge I believe, they had it in the "Econominder Gauge Package". That RMS definitely seems worth checking out with that kind of mileage... |

I'm going to guess the price may be negotiable. |

Not really destroyed in the typical fashion on the show (US Version). Thye had to build an RV, so they built a 2 story "building" on top of it and rolled it during a dirt race. You can watch it online at History's web site. |

Also, it's bullshit. That's the classic Craigslist scam. Dirt cheap car/truck/whatever. Car is in another state, owner is in another one to. |

| Funny, I never really noticed the wheels. They look like hubcaps to me. If I end up with the car, we could probably work out something with the wheels. I sent him an email and left him a message on his voicemail.

| I hope that, if that Brougham is as nice as it's said to be, someone here gets it. The interior is awesome! Doesn't seem to have a cracked dashboard. That's a fairly unusual combo AND it has the 350. However, the 350 cars didn't come from the factory with the wire wheels on them, so there's some investigating to do...maybe the owner just added them or something. One of those tires is an old 1.3" (?) whitewall. If I had the money or the room I'd have been changing my name to Joe and going to look at it! The paint looks thick enough where someone could bring it back to life too. |

Sucks cus the car had some nice options on it, hell the trunk pull down still worked. Wire wheels were nice enough to save. But it had a lot more rust than the guy mentioned. He said the interior was mint.... sagging liner, cracked panels, stitching on the seats were ripped, drivers seat was blown out and from an earlier year FWB. Several wires not connected or plugged in, decent oil leak, spotted mickey mouse work in the engine bay, Ac compressor didnt work. ( it wasnt plugged in either, ask the guy and said he wanted to save the R12 for the summer. ) Told him you need the comp. to run the defrost and he looked at us like we had 7 heads, and he was the one with the repair plate and 12 other cars It's $1000 car at the most..... but still wouldn't go over $800. something tells me the mileage is not correct and my gut tells me I've looked at this car before. |
