Thanks man. It's 270 each way. Straight shot on I-90 Bit of deja vu this morning. Intake came off nice and within an hour. Always takes longer to take all the bullshit off. Inside staying cool now. Going to drop it back on tonight when it's a bit cooler.

| I use the copper spray on both sides of the side gaskets and a nice healthy 1/4" bead of black rtv for the front and rear NO rubber seals front or back. Torque the bolts in the right sequence and to the right spec. Never EVER had an intake leak. | |

This is important. Torque wrench to spec and sequence is a must. Also, when laying down that THICK RTV bead, make it a little thicker at the ends to be sure and seal the corners.

| And there's no such thing as too much RTV, I chucked the rubber gaskets out on my 3800's and put a thick bead on the ends, no leaks. | |

| I've never known anyone who used those stupid rubber garbage "gaskets" they belong in the trash. THICK RTV and it won't leak. | |

| I may have been a bit premature saying it's the intake. Went under the car to install my new starter shield and wrap my OTA's and the starter was soaked with oil. Cleaned it all up, as well as the trans, exhaust etc. Parked the car overnight on some plywood, still dry. Looks like it was just residual. I'm going to keep an eye on it but for now it looks like it's holding. | |
