| I have no plans on doing this to my 9C1, but my L99 car had it done buy the previous owner. Im not sure who thought is was the best idea to weld over the threads where the pipes go into the exhaust manifold instead of installing those bolts. He even unplugged the check engine light bulb so I wouldnt notice | |

| I have defenetly heard the same about that pipe. It makes me wanna try to do just to see if I can. @ Alf notice in your pic the pipe is cut on the far left Between the end and the tab( but I agree I have also heard you can do it in one if you know how). And when I do the bottom stuff I will document as best I can but it may not be for a while it's snowing out so driveway laying is not in my future. | |

| OK yes, if you want to spend LOTS of time & disassemble WAY more then just the Air system I guess you could. I wouldnt & I'm betting you wont either.. I thought to myself...will I ever put this back in?...NO...zip...it's out | |

| I did that on my 9C1 but left the pipe in there. I know, very half-assed. I did it mainly because I was too lazy to put the air pump that didn't work back in after doing a WP job. Luckily for me it had been deleted out of the programming on the computer already. Gotta love OBD II lol. | |

| @ sdstick ya I said I'll try but it will most likely end up in pieces. I garentee(sp?) that after trying for 15 min I'll say the same thing "Is it ever going back in... nope cut cut cut" . | |

| I'd do it, it's just the problem of having it programmed out. Don't know where to get it done. To hell with the dealer, they have no idea what to do, even tho its a TSB . Been there, done that! | |

| Not true. The previous owner "did it" on my 95 and the light is still on. When I scanned it with the tech II the code is for the AIR.
I'd need to do it for a '96 tho. | |

| Sdstick is correct no cel on 94-95. The key is you NEED TO LEAVE THE RELAY IN PLACE. then it will be fine,no reprog. needed. | |
