| Ok I decided to start a thread on my 94 Caprice L99. I was given the car on 6-10-2010, didn't run and looked like hell. replaced plugs, wires, fuel filter and she fired up and purred like a kitten. this is what it looked like when i got it. a few months later someone keyed my hood and feders so it got primered up. deleted the air pump, homeplate, first base, resonator, and a/c. polished the fuel rails. rear deck was all ratty so got a new one. the trim on the car wasnt looking the greatest so off it came. drivers mirror was replaced as well. tail lights were pretty faded and scratched so i removed them and painted the ribs black. now for my biggest mod to date. Camaro highbacks installed. needed tires so picked up a decent set on roadmaster wheels. looks to grandmaish for me. so blacked em out. was having some issues with stalling, and chased and chased the problem, went and put in a new egr, k&n style filter, plugs again, fuel, filter again, wires again, opti seal, water pump seals, coolant temp sensor, radiator, thermostat, fuel pump and sending unit. ran great after pump and sending unit. also did new upper balljoints, idler arm center link, all 4 tierods and sleeves. just recently replaced front bumper with help of Tim. new grill also and semi gloss black. well the other day i got a bit bored and got to painting. also picked these up a while ago and finally got em on. well thats enough for now. shes a work in progress and probably will always be. MORE TO COME..................................... | |

| Looking good. Keep going the direction you are and do it how you want it. Never give up on your idea of what your ride should be. Ive had mine since '09 and a few others in between and thought I could build my world in a day. Not the case. Im about halfway done to my idea of the ideal B body(within reason and practicality). Besides wheels/tires, paint and such, what are the plans for the future?
And, dont let anyone give you a load of B.S. about the L99. I'm on my second, and with one LT1 car, its not a big deal. But dont try to waste time and money getting it to perform. Buy an LT1 for cheap or save up some dough and do the big swap. Otherwise, they are good on gas and easy to maintain.

| Come a looooong way! Looking good. I'm glad your Losing the Girl Scout cookie wheels!! This is gonna look pisssah!!!! And I agree on the l99, unless you have a car specifically used for drag racing there is NO need to have a car with 700HP. If it's running good then leave it alone I say. Who needs to go fast? If your important people will wait Besides no one can appreciate the cars custom look when ur flying by them at a buck 20. Keep up the good work! | |

| Don't waste your money on valve stems. I have that crap around the shop. What you might want to get is some fancy lug nuts. Unless you plan on going a different route. You should paint your hubs black if you haven't already. Or, we could just do that when we have your car in the air on the lift with the wheels off.

True to that. I drove home from Providence to Attleboro just to get my 9C1 which had no 2nd or 3rd gear to bring my son home. But the first try, I realized I left the 9C1 keys in my bag at the hospital, had to drive all the way back and do it again, wife and baby waiting. I was too excited I guess!

Because every car deserves a pit bike right. well its a 1968 Schwinn stingray i hope to have it look similar to the caprice, red wheels white walls if i can find em that small, red leather seat, semi gloss black frame, and 90% of the chrome will stay, just need to polish it.
