| 1986 k5 blazer crate 350 with under 500 miles ,rebuild th400 and transfer case ,new seals in rear and front axles and a folder of all the receipts and dates of replacements the bad......... floors and rockers are GONE someone replaced them at one point and only painted the tops of them then placed a brand new carpet and pad over them. what floors were left are stuck to the bottom of the carpet with what little paint was used. its going to be a off road truck so it doesnt have to be nice looking im just gana cut what little rockers there are out and weld in some 3X2 square tube then tie the floors in to that nothing a welder and some metal cant fix i was supposed to be trading my 79 camaro for this to get back in to my off roading ways and thin down the heard but long story short i went to look at the truck and it was an old family friend i took the truck home and a week later he called and said he didnt want the camaro anymore. i was pissed then he told me to just keep the blazer and let him take it out some day this summer | |

| Nice always loved this style truck/blazer/suburban Who put the 88-91 radiator support into it? I just did cab corners floor pan and inner& outer rockers on an 86 c10 I was building. Easy and cheap panels to replace! | |

| I bet you can get ever body panel for that truck and fix it nice as long as you're welding....lol one of my friends told me he redid one of them back in high school, redid the rockers but left the inner rockers out so it could drain, something like that, either way the truck never rusted there again and still hasn't... | |

| yea ive had a few of these body style but ive never had a chance to really build one and since this was basically free i can throw some money at it and not feel to bad the whole drive-train has under 500 miles on it i have $4500 in receipts for the damn thing. He blew out his back it sat for a few years untouched i put a battery in threw some marvel mystery oil in and she fired right up. im just going to cut from the rockers across the whole bottom of the door wheel well to wheel well and weld in some 3x2 rock sliders then an exo cage so i never have to do rockers again and so i can just slide over shit | |

You have quite a nice truck there, with lots of potential. Anything you need can be found used, new - NOS or aftermarket, you just have to search a little bit on some things. Try this place: http://www.lmctruck.com/features/cc/cc.htm Heres a photo of my truck after the town came down and made me take off two of the rear wheels. It seems that a dually constitutes a commercial vehicle, and I'm allowed only one in plain sight on the property. I think this body style is second only to the 1969-1970 models. "Frankenstein" Project Truck 1982 C7E (HD-option) 1 ton dually "tall" chassis 1970 4 bolt main 4.290" bore big block 4.000" stroke (454 C.I.D. +.040" over) 1969 "063" oval port heads - worked - 1.88" & 2.19 SS valves. Crane Hyd (retro) roller cam Holley strip Dominator intake, 850 D/P mechanical sec., Hooker ceramic coated headers. 1990 P-30 HD Rockwell 12" disc brake rear axle, 10 lug, 5.13:1 rear, Detroit No-Spin 1987 Muncie 465 manual trans & 12" clutch 1979 NP 205 all gear transfer case with bolt on Spicer 1410 yoke (no slip joint) Dana 60 HD front axle with Detroit locker and 5.13:1 Richmond gears All rebuilds were done with NOS GM parts, body - chassis - drivetrain Whole project on hold, perhaps this thread will inspire me to get this thing running | |
