I will get pics when the grill goes on, but Its not done until the "good" bumper is finished and installed.

| HAHAHA! LOL! Yeah, I'm not going to bother with him ever again. What a god damn waste of time. He's had it for like, a year i think. But part of its my fault, cuz I got married and had a baby and didnt pick it up 4 months ago.
This time its going to Maaco for the $180 or whatever bumper special. i cant complain, the whole car ( almost the whole car) got painted for $380 when I bought it in cali.

| I'm not sure if anyone would be willing to offer up that kind of job. I'm gonna need someone to fill in the arch of the rear wheel wells where the trim was. | |

| Wow Brian, I have to say, that looks pretty damn cool. When you posted the first couple pics without the grill I was like WTF? I agree, I like the way the Caprice looks anyway but the bigger grille kind of continues the look of the boxy header panel a bit. I'm pretty sure the aftermarket Buick grilles have no text along the top right?
Maybe I'll do this to the Caprice, and copy your idea lol

Maybe I'll do this to the Caprice, and copy your idea lol Thanks. I was like WTF too, cuz it looks stupid. Not sure about after market grilles. Do you have a link? If you want to do it, have fun. Its nice taking the front apart and having a good looking transition.

| Not sure I dig the Buick grill. I think it'd look better with a custom Impala grill cut and filled stretched down. | |

| The grill pictured isnt the final product. Ive got 2 grills in the making. I will take pics when done. But, as far as the Buick grill design. I like the "waterfall" style center, and making a stretched SS grill isnt for me. | |

| They do make a big difference. And the tinted housings dont help with anything, they just sit there and look cool | |

And I'm the one who does the flashing! I hate HIDs, mostly because I don't have them and the cougar has SHIT lights. The caprice had two brand new bulbs and housings though....not anymore - sdstick wrote:

Wait a tick. Not only did mine say the same thing almost. I actually got it from a Ford dealership. I had "B-1" made by a guy in Attelboro in reflective blue for my original Impala SS. It was just under the lower body line on the front fender. Just over the drivers tail light. |

| If you consider a performance/pursuit aspect of police work, the Caprice was more of an "Interceptor" type of vehicle more than the rag tag P71 Crown Victoria that actually wears a badge.
Think of the Mad Max Interceptor. The big, black Ford Falcon XB GT. It was a fast, purpous built car with an image that was accepted by many hot rod enthusiasts alike. While the Caprice inst a blower equipped, nitrous injected, 2 door fast back, it's what we all find ideal in a body style and drive train combination that's both practical and somewhat economical.
As far as the decal on the car itself, I think its a nice fun decal that 1, matches the theme of the car, and 2, in my mind, it's sets it a part from the flock. It wont be mistaken for an Impala SS, but its not your grandmas Caprice either.
