| For the record, my centercaps came off a 2001 FWD "Wimpala" with the wheels that copy the look of the 94-96 SS wheels. Some will turn up for you I'm sure, but you might want to try eBay if you don't want to waste gas looking. I highly recommend the ones I have, the centers with the bowtie on carbon fiber look pretty cool. If I had an SS I'd probably run them instead of the stock ones. | |

Thanks for the info. I think I might just go to a dealer and see what they want for a set.

Yeah, I forgot to mention I got lucky- the ones I grabbed came from a salvage yard in Malden with like 13 cars in the whole place, and they were right on the roof of the car. I'll keep my eyes peeled if I go to Hollands or Jacks soon.

| Didn't see any newer fleetwoods, but Chris there were two four door older fleetwoods looked like 86 maybe 87 to me. AND An earlier 80's coupe deville. Also an older Eldo with a 500 in it. One gold caprice 95/96 didnt check it out that much. A few boxes, no TBI cars though. BUT there is a fresh delivery in the form of a roadmaster sedan, L05. It kind of looked like Tim's old 92. And sorry bill...No maroon non limited seats | |

| I did some scrounging a couple days ago on my Impala hood search (which I found and should be grabbing Sat. morning)
At Jacks there was the usual row of B's and C's that are in mud puddles, full of parts, or have non-related Buick Centuries on the roof pinching the doors closed.
Saw some TBI Caprices, a few boxies, a black (originally green) 94 LT1 9C1 that was pretty complete overall without rotted out wheelhouses in the trunk if you need that spot for a patch, a black TBI WB4 Roadmaster wagon that was up on the roof of an old LeSabre and not very accessible...a couple of Fleets that were kinda picked over but one had all the seats still in it and the taillights (I think they were 93 TBI cars but not sure),
THere were a couple RMS cars there, one was an LT1, identical to my brother's car. It was well picked but the taillights with the black lines were still on it if you wanted those.
I went to Hollands after that. Some nut junked a pretty nice looking maroon 96 LT1 Caprice, which I believe means it's a B4U. I could not open the trunk. The rear end was in the car, and the drums looked big, so... There were gray leather seats still in the car (front driver's had wear on bolster for the seatback but not ripped IIRC) but it was well picked over, the headliner was even removed by someone so I bet it was nice. This was a loaded car! Had a Woodworth dealership plaque on the trunk so it was probably from Andovah. I think the quarters were starting to rust but I honestly didn't look close. It had a rot hole in one back door on the pass. side behind where the moldings were. Never saw that happen. I saw some Roadmaster wagon (s), I think they were TBI. I looked around for Bonnie buckets but it was getting late, I forget what I saw.
Oh, a TBI skirted Caprice had JUST come in the yard, wasn't touched yet but had numbers written on the windows. It was a lower end car, no cornering lights, did not have the warning lamps under the HVAC controls, etc. It was all there.
Are those HVAC controls something you can just swap over easily? Prob. not worth it...

I'd always wondered why it had sat so long because it didn't look bad. So I'm walking through the trucks at Hollands scanning for stuff and I see it in there, it had a license plate stuck and camo'd over in the middle of the tailgate, which was gone, so I knew it was the truck. I'm walking around it, wondering why it was junked, and I open the door. Seemed pretty bright inside, which didn't strike me as odd at first. Floors weren't bad...hmmm why is this here??? Then I see some rust flecks on the seats. I look up, THE WHOLE ROOF ABOVE THE FRONT SEATS WAS GONE AND OPEN TO THE ELEMENTS!!! I don't know what the hell happened, but I think someone had cut a sunroof into it. The metal for the inner and outer roof was gone...but there was almost like plaster cast of what it used to be shaped like made of Great Stuff left in it's place, kind like the people casts from Pompeii. Never saw anything like it...rot was going down the B pillars too because it was left open so long! A shame. But the axles are still in it, etc...it is apparently a real M1009 and has the brush guard, hooks, blackout switch headlamps, maroon vinyl buckets, everything. If I had one I'd be going back and grabbing chit!

| Went to Jack's today looking for that headlight harness and poked around while I was there. 2 finds of note: 1992? Buick Roadmaster dark blue woody wagon. Does not appear to have been there long, very clean interior. Let me put it this way, I actually sat in this car and checked it out. Clean overall actually, and still really complete. This car has the tuck and roll "unLimited" seats that everyone likes, they are the darker blue for 1991-93, and are in good shape. Car appears to have been maintained, but I think the floors are gone/rotted, if you look inside the whole damned floor is bubbled up, leading me to believe the car was picked up with a forklift and it pushed it up. Quarters were bondo'd. Personally if you want the dark blue leather tuck and roll seats, you should definitely go get them. The windows are rolled down on this car but the weather hasn't taken it's toll yet. The back seat was nice too I think, but I didn't get a great look at it. 1994 FWB, in whatever that light "purple ginger ale" looking color is, like the one Jerry buys for Morty on Seinfeld. Car looked clean, was JUST dropped off, it's not even in the actual yard yet, it's out where I parked my Tahoe. Thing is complete and pretty much untouched, the driver's seat bottom is junk but seemed to have a nice int. I didn't think to look at the other side or the back of the car. The black RMW WB4 was still there, missing some more crap, has the LAB leather front seats that are dirty and a little weathered, but if you got them cheap, hey maybe they'd clean up. In other news, thanks to this trip the SS now sports a cigarette lighter (even though I don't smoke), and I acquired some Roadmaster dash vents. LOL | |

| Matt, I made the mistake of wearing Pumas into that place. My boots were in my truck. I didn't get wet feet but I was still in danger, lol.
Justin, I did not notice them. They could have been there, but I'm not sure, if I had to bet, I'd say no. It's a 92 so those are the ones that fall off more, lol. I may run back there tomorrow morning, if I do I will look. That wagon had a set of alloys with decent usable whitewall tires too.
That Cadillac is pretty clean to be sitting there. It says NO TITLE on the windshield.
The 94-96 black 9c1 was gone and some more B's were missing, others moved around, a lot of other vehicles there that weren't before. That's prob. why that Caddy was out there, maybe a lot of people trying to junk cars before it snows. If anyone goes, save some time for walking the Chevy truck aisle and looking at the K5 Blazers. You'd laugh your ass off at what you're gonna see...LOL

| OK, So I went back there this afternoon to grab that headlight harness, what a pain in the ass to get out, and it was in vain too! LOL
But, I did scope out the cars a little more.
First off, there is now a white RMS right outside the shop being "prepped" for dumping out back. I didn't see it yesterday, however there is a lot of activity out front there.
I looked over that Caddy more. It's very complete, even the trunk crest and emblem are there. Bumpers look good, trim looks good, most of the interior is nice save for that crappy driver's seat. You'd have to see for yourself, I don't want to say something is nice then have people tell me it's not what they expected, you know? But I'm picky and I'd say the car is in good shape for being junked.
That dark blue RMW has ALL of it's brightwork and trim that goes around the doors, etc, except for the one that goes on the driver's side rear door. All of the rubber strips are on them too. The dashpad and dash are nice and seem complete, I think the door panels are too. Someone liked this car and took care of it, or tried to.
