| Went yarding as well over the weekend and found some vehicles of interest. First up is the 94 FWB black over red is still there and complete except for the cladding and wheels. There was also a 91/92 silver over grey caprice sedan there, complete as well minus wheels. Next there was a 94 DCM RMS there with a very nice red interior in it that took a hard hit to the front. I snagged the DS door panel, but everything else is there. If anyone wants red seats etc I'm going back next weekend. Very clean inside, no damage that I saw. The indent in the seat is from a fan someone left there. Then there was this car, not sure of the year but it was an Impala and looked like if someone had cared at all about it to sell it it could have been on the road And lastly there was a Bonnie with cloth tan seats, no visible damage, no pics of that one. | |

UGH you're telling me! Someone go grab it! It seems to be pretty solid save for wheels and a bumper. - Cadet57 wrote:

I...have...an...idea. They kind of get dickered when you pull them off. But you can order a BRAND NEW set online. UGH I can't find the link, but go searching and you'll find it I'm sure.

| I think the back seat is different, but I've also seen people put the sedan seat in place of the wagon back seat? Other than that I believe they are the same overall... | |

Everything in the front is the same, rear stuff is different as Tom said.

| Well, I might as well post these pictures now that I have the time... About a week ago I went to Jack's to grab something and took a look around while I was there...I was working near 495 all week so I figured it was worth going. This was pretty cool: http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_1658-Ford-LTD-57H-1971.html After that I found an RMS with blue early-style Limited leather seats. The "Glow-Worm" looking ones! I tried my best at giving them a look over- The driver's seat actually didn't look worn, it had a burst seam near the edge in the middle of the "fat rolls" on the seats... Could probably fix it with a curved needle. The pass side was good but had a very small cut in the middle of the cushion. I might go back to see if the horns are in this car since I want to put them in the SS, but at the time I looked at it, it was sitting in about 8 inches of cold water with car parts floating and submerged in it. I had to play "hot-lava-whirlpool" to stepping stone my way around the damned yard. If I still had the white Caprice I would probably be looking at getting those seats. The car was missing the front bumper and some other stuff. Next I went to Holland's to take a look around, saw that the blue RMS was still there, now with a car on the roof and my brother's name written on it...LOL Found a strange aftermarket customized '91 Suburban there: The power mirrors on that are desirable but something tells me Hollands would probably want about what they're worth for them. This '72 Newport used to drive by my house in Reading almost every day about a year or two ago. The guy slowed down and looked at my dad's '73 that was in the driveway, lol. Last year I saw it for sale on CL. I guess they gave up. According to a guy I talked to this car showed up sans engine and other stuff. As I walked over to where the B's are usually, I saw this, and took a look at it. This car should not have been scrapped, but it was. IIRC, the car had under 50K on it. I found out some interesting stuff about it, but I'll post that in a new thread. A couple rows over, what do I see, but a trashed '93 LTZ, a DGGM one! I was kind of in shock at first and forgot what to look for. I went over to it and managed to get the driver's door open and get inside...yes the cluster was still there, and I found the dash trim in it too... Someone had pulled the engine/trans and the steering column for whatever reason, and they also pulled off the front door panels for reasons unknown because it didn't look like any parts were missing. I found those in the trunk. All the Bose stuff was on the floor in a pile, boxes were on the back seat labeled "Caprice" with engine accessory parts in them, Y-pipe on the floor, so I think the car had no engine when it came in. I pulled up the loose carpet and the floors were all done, I think the car was off the road since 2006. I noticed as I walked over that the hood badge was gone...I muttered an expletive to myself as I saw that. Well when I was sitting in the car I started moving stuff around on the floor and what do I find upside down? Everything was in slow motion and blurred sound when I saw that thing. I took the nice cluster (with wiring pigtails and plastic clips) and the LTZ dash bezel/trim. The bezel is in good condition and I guess it's rare being from a '93 and it's gray? I cleaned the dust off it quick but didn't "Matt Trakker" clean it. I searched everywhere but didn't find the LTZ piece that goes in that hole on the RH side... It's a miracle someone didn't destroy the thing. I may hang onto these in case I wind up with another car that they fit, but I dunno, I'll probably just sell them to someone who can use them before that because who the hell knows when that would happen... I showed these to my father and he said something like "Hey, why doesn't mine have that?" I also bought the dimming rearview mirror and the 2 courtesy lamps with pigtails from the front doors. I thought the mirror would work in the SS, but I guess 91-94 use different plugs than the 95+ cars? I could be wrong so feel free to school me on that. I would like to put one in that car. That LTZ still has the LTZ-only grille (and it's a 93 so it says Chevrolet on top), but it's not in brand new condition, I would call it driver level. I didn't bother with it, although it appeared to be unbroken and intact at all the screw holes. It also has a few of the LTZ wheels with the black paint in the nooks and crannies, and the 3 center caps are on the floor in the car. There is another car with 91-92 tails there that I saw last year, but the trunklid is locked, and the car had no keys...it smells like a baby diaper full of Indian food inside too. | |

For sure. It even had some original tires on it. It had an interesting previous owner too! I'll post about that tomorrow when I have time... From what I hear some parts are going to be saved though, so that's good...

It is save for a few do-dads gone wrong. I'm going back there this week for pieces off of it. Some for me and some for others. Too good to pass up you know?

| That suburban has the rare gauge bezel that is great for installing cd players in the 73-87 c10's if I didn't just chop my dash completley out I'd be going there to get a couple sections of metal!! Good score on the LTZ stuff I kept my hood emblem when I sold my 93. No use for it at all, just holding on to it for sentimental value,
I'm in some need of boxy parts if you happen to go back, I'm gonna look in my yard this week but just incase.....

Yep, I was actually going to take that bezel but I'd already bought so much crap. I might go back, I dunno. Maybe when Matt goes I'll tag along if I'm not at work lol. The funny thing is the wood one only came in the Suburbans, the Blazers still had the brushed aluminum looking bezel with the large radio opening... My '88 still had the 2 knob radio with the old bezel...sucks on those that you need to cut the metal open to put in a CD player... I'm keeping that little badge too, even though I don't have a car for it, it just seems cool and unusual to me, plus it doesn't take up space. I still can' t believe someone picked it off the hood then threw it on the floor of the car. It's on the fireplace mantle in my living room now! Indy, I forgot to take a pic but there is a 69 or a 70 I think Chevy longbed stepside in that yard too, but it's kinda ragged. It's complete but you could tell someone worked the hell out of it for years until it was last on the road in like 1986. I couldn't get close to it because it was in a huuuuuuuuuuuuuge mud puddle. It's funny, it has a regular size exhaust pipe running out from under the truck, then straight up over the roof like a smokestack.

| I had a chance to go to Hollands real quick today when I was in the area- the nice Boxy is now without taillights...the trunk is open and holy crap was there a lot of good stuff left behind in that car, a shame. Two "Larry, Darryl, and Darryl" types were going around the yard and were picking at that car, and I think they took the red plastic dist. cap. LOL The 91 Caprice has literally had the entire ass end hacked open so someone could have the taillights... It looks like a bomb went off in it! The wood bezel from the Suburban is gone, and whoever took it decided to break the dashboard into little tiny pieces for their own amusement... I didn't see any FWBs, Crovo. Anyway, if anyone knows someone with a 4 door last generation S10 Blazer or Jimmy, there is a rare "Diamond Edition" sitting in the yard now. I don't know how long it's been there, but the special interior stuff, the door panels and seats, are all in there. Kind of cool looking seats...they didn't seem too bad either. The truck was mostly complete actually. | |

I still need to post the story about the guy who owned that car. No problem Brandon! We will have to do a parts swap soon! The bumpers weren't all that wonderful. The rear was subject to trailer life so it had a few dents right where the tongue of the trailer would hit as someone backed up to it lol. It also had some weird black paint transfer with what appeared to be a crease. The front might be good but idunno how the chrome has held up over the years. it was also buried in snow. Maybe I have to get back to check it out.

| ah ha, a junkyard thread! Found this at Carworld today: 1995 Classic L99. Blue with light gray leather interior. Pretty decent shape, some engine parts already gone. Interior is all there and nice! There is also a low miles Blazer out back with a nice black floor shift center console, and a Bravada with a dirty but usable center console. And a Bonneville up front with dark tan seats. | |
