| I'm kind of on the fence for buying a T/A or Z28 sometime in the next year or two. I just want something more sporty and different, but I don't want to break the bank.
I'd want 1995 or older to avoid MA emissions. I like the old third gen cars, but I'm a little more interested in a 92-95 car. They seem to be nicer for the price right now.
I remember hearing the 92-94 LT1 cars had the unvented opti problems unlike the B-body cars getting the better opti in 1994. So I guess I'd be concentrating on 1995 if that's the case.
Anything in general to look out for? I think I'd be looking for something generally clean and unmolested/original that would be daily driver quality.

| '93 and '94s have unvented optis but you can convert them to vented with a couple simple mods and adding a vented cap. I wouldn't pass up either in good condition. '93s use speed density fuel management, batch-fire fuel injection, an ECM and a 4L60 (no E). '92 will put you in a third gen. I'd look for a hard top (not too hard to find in a '94 Camaro), a T56, C5 wheels, a BFH, and a spare set of OEM wheels to mount sticky tires for just for autocross. | |

| Try and stay away from the 93 all together. A lot of one year only bs on these models making them a little less optioned for the aftermarket.
4th gens are primarilly constructed of plastic and fiberglass...but still keep an eye out for rust in the kick-panel area of the floor, as well as right behind the front seats in the rear passenger foot-well.
Also keep an eye out for rust under the heater box.
If you need parts I have 3 cars worth so far lol

| Thanks guys. I meant to ask about the body const. on these. I knew the 92 was the third gen as well, don't know what the hell I was thinking typing that. lol I do want a hardtop. Nothing crazy, just something nice and not a complete mess to toot around in and pretend I'm cool. I also want this green color and a Z28. If I found a clean automatic I wouldn't even care. http://imcdb.org/vehicle_9950-Chevrolet-Camaro-1993.html | |
