| is a 4l60e tranny out of a lt1 camaro the same as my car?? i have a chance to pick one up that has 1000 miles on a rebuild for real cheap. | |

| Did a quick search for you
3. F-body (Camaro-Firebird) LT1 4L60Es from '94-00 will fit. They also have the "corvette" servo.
3b. LS1 4L60Es from '98 up will bolt on but you must use the LS1 torque converter... but it's unknown as to whether the LS1 TC will bolt to an LT1 flexplate. 3.4L and 3.8L V6 transmissions have incompatible bellhousings and will not work.
(Dont know where 3a went?...)
Unfortumately the above left a big hole in the 98+ LS1's but you dont care about that
Please let a transmission guy elaborate on this | |
