| I blew one of the factory speakers in the wag today. It is one of the door ones. ANyways, I want to replace all 4 with something better. Im on crutchfield and found a nice pair of Polks for the front. THe matching speakers for the back are way more than I want to spend. Is is ok to use say Polk's in the front and kenwood's in the back? | |

Crutchfeild sucks.Overpriced older stuff. EBAY search. Will turn up much better prices for same model. Speakers ideally should be same brand/model.front and rear. My opinion. your results may vary.

| ^^ that was kinda my point^^ Sure its nice to match tone & have them work perfectly together. But I dont think you'll notice a difference mixing & matching Top end stereo equipment requires a DR's degree in accoustics | |

| I got killer deals on eBay and Amazon for my MB Quart 6.5" separates and 6x9's for my wagon. Do some searching. I have less than 120 bucks total for both pairs. Go with a 5.25" or 6.5" in the front door instead of the lame-o 4x6's that are in there now, too. You'll be happy you did. | |

Ok, went to ebay to look for the Polk's I want. They are $10 cheaper for the fronts and $20 cheaper for the back. Thoughts on these? Also, since its ebay I wont get any of the "free" install crap that i'd get from Crutchfield. To install these into the car what am I going to need? I've done plenty of decks but never speakers. Is it hard? Front: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_107DB651S/Polk-Audio-db651s.html?tp=105 Back: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_107DB691/Polk-Audio-db691.html?tp=105
