PostSubject: Heater/AC Panel for 1987 - 1990 Caprice Classic Brougham   Tue Sep 26, 2017 10:42 pm

Hi Guys,

I haven't logged onto this forum in quite some time. But I am excited to be back. I am making a custom center console, as well as a double din dash kit, out of mahogany for my Caprice. After removing my car's heater/ac panel and not bagging up the parts, I lost two knobs: one for the AC Fan and one for the Rear Defogger. I will now be bagging, labeling, and placing any leftover parts in a secure place that I will remember!

I've been searching the Internet for the knobs but have been relatively unlucky thus far. I did, however, find one seller but they are asking $28 bucks a piece for the little plastic things. That being said, I was wondering if you guys could help me out. Does anyone know of any local salvage yards that currently have a few Caprice Classic Broughams (87 - 90) lying around? Or knows of someone will to part ways with a heater/ac panel? If so, please let me know!

Also, once I get done with my woodworking project, I'll be sure to post some pictures to the forum.

Thanks!

I parted a few of these the last few years. I'll look in my stash as soon as possible and get back to you.

I appreciate it! If you also have the rear defogger switch, that would be great.

No problem. I'll take a look tomorrow. Got busy and forgot to look after I replied. I'll let you know.
