So, I finally got a look at my grandmother's Caprice today when I went to visit her and setup the hospital bed at her house. It's fairly clean inside and outside, outside needs a wash and a buff/wax job. A couple small dings, there is a dent and a little rust on the passenger lower 1/4 panel, I included a close-up. Underside is fairly clean, frame is typical surface rusted. Runs nice, AC blows cold, I didn't get a chance to take it for a spin however. 76k miles on this machine. My grandma bought it used in 2000, and it has been stored in her garage since and driven regularly. She hasn't been able to drive it since her first stroke 4 years ago, but my uncle drives it at least once a month and keeps a battery tender on it. It's 100% factory original. Has the steel wheels with 3 of the wire hup caps.

The proof:

The interior is really clean, all original dark/light blue. Only downer:

Worst of the body damage. Little bit of surface rust in the lower right corner.

The SPID

So there it is. The car is located in Somerset, Mass; still in the garage. I'd like to see $1800 for the car, I feel thats a reasonable price for a low miles running and driving car.

Thanks. It is pretty cool being as its the later body style with the TBI engine. Simpler to maintain and repair, plus the parts are cheap since it's a SBC. Sure it's slow, but you can't deny the cost savings.

I kid you not I got like 28MPG out of my old '93 on a trip to Maine and back. It's all in how you drive it.

I wish I kept that car, my father loves it and drives it everywhere. And the A/C was awesome in that thing, as well as the heat!

Maybe this will be around, in a couple months, when we are done buying the next new to us B body. Would it be possibly to get pics of the rockers with the doors open ESPECIALLY the B pillars, gas tank straps, undersides of doors, rear frame rails, and the floor pan?

Yea, next time I go down I'll get it out of the garage and get good pictures of everything. Take it for a ride even.

I did take a look around underneath, gas tank straps look good, rear frame rails look solid. I didn't look at anything else on the bottom.

Unfortunately, I have not had a chance yet, the car is 2 hours away from where I live.

Surface rust there, underside of rockers are solid, no paint missing or rust present.

Front edge of the hood is bent under a bit, hood is not bent, no damage to headlight.

Paint is blah, you could just buff it and it would be fine for a DD. We are very flexible on the price. Also, the car is located in Somerset, Mass.

I'd NEVER buy a TBI car. Razz

Good luck with the sale. I was thinking about this one if I hadn't found the caddy.

Thanks guys. I would grab it myself, but it's just the old problem of "too many toys, not enough time" issue.

I can include a roadmaster tach cluster if that makes it more appealing.....Very Happy

I miss my white Caprice (which was the same as this) for it's simplicity, a lot.  My dad loves that car now. I like this car, but I'd have to put the SS at the end of my driveway with a fo' sale sign on it to consider getting another vehicle. I have a nice set of wheels and tires to put on there too...Cool
