| A few years ago I bought one of those red Porter Cable "pancake" compressors at HD. It's one of those small ones, but all I used it for was air in tires and spraying Fluid Film. Well, it's on it's last legs. I'm going to get another one, but want to move up the ladder, so to speak. I don't need a big huge thing, 220V or anything like that. Would still like to have it somewhat portable. Looks like there is plenty of options at around $300 or so.
I'll be going back to HD, as they told me to bring it in, and we'll make you a good deal. We'll see.
Any suggestions?
thanks

| I would look at some of the commercial options out there. My Dad and I killed his 35 year old Craftsman one a few years ago, so we went to Home Depot and bought one of the big upright ones, it was in the $400 range. The quality just isn't there. Had to have the air pump replaced under warranty twice I believe. | |

| I just bought a Bostitch air compressor from Wal Mart. I love it, works great, and not as loud as others I have had. Bostitch Air compressor | |

I know where you're coming and you are correct. But, I just don't need a commercial compressor, as all as I really do is fill the tires, spray Fluid film a couple of times and maybe blow off my wife's vacuum cleaner. I'd like to stay with a small portable one, but a good one. - IMPALADAKID wrote:

I'll take a look at it. Probably what I'll do now is just use the compressor till the day it balks at what I need it to do, then I get a new one. Tom | |
