I always wanted to make things outta fiberglass, and then I see the process and chicken out. That pic and the sanding that follows is the reason I make stuff out of wood and metal.

ok, not to steal Ant's thunder here about his project, but I did not think you guys would pick up on my BTW...

When Anthony came over to my parents house where I was working on one of my parts cars to pickup the carpet from it, he also brought his cute little daughters as he always does...

My parents have a GIANT eagle sculpture on their front lawn, infront of their flag pole (They are going for biggest patriots in town I think), here is a picture of my sister drunk on her birthday doing a photo op with it: [project] laidlow,pt.2 pg.3 - Page 2 L_4fbba0ebb8eb75930123ed394fbbf65d

One of Anthony's daughters, I believe the younger one, got out of the truck as soon as they got there and said something like "That is a huge Pigeon" to which I laughed and told her I usually hit my head on it while mowing the lawn.

Not as funny when explained...BACK TO THE TECH!

I dont think he'll mind, inquiring mands wanted to know, hopefully he'll be on page 6 with this weekends update.
This is the 1st time I've seen this so I'm impressed with how easy he slashes up that auto & transforms it

thanks for the comments guys. Very Happy

the console is the only progress worth pictures to date.
the rest is just wiring, plumbing of air lines and all the little bs things
nobody would want to see pics of.

the car is still on stands in the same place its been since memorial day. No
between the weather, family health issues, and every other thing
you could imagine to keep me from finishing the car.

i know i sound like a broken record...BUT...
if the weather is good there will be pics of the car on the ground
by the end of sunday at the latest....

ill try to get pics up tomorrow of what i get done. sunny

**Doug sorry to hear the pigeon is hostile, glad the kids stayed away. Razz **

just some random pics.

Awsome job Anthony. See it in your head, then build it.
Anthony, what you can do is give it another coat then after a couple minutes fog on a light coat. This will give it a texture, and make it appear more satin.

I had been staring at the progress pics of the console trying to figure out what that spot was next to the gauges...Now that I see the skull it makes sense!

Looks great, can't wait to see it tomorrow.

I like the bags they bring the whole car together nicely.

Any more information on the sunroof(brand, install time, cost) & the front grill; custom?

I'm impressed with the speed of the bags. Nice!

How's it drive? A lot different?

I was lucky enough to have some time to come over and help Anthony a bit, and I am glad I did, I have never been involved with a bag setup and it was VERY cool. The reward of watching that baby pop up and down was worth the drive and the work for sure.

Can't wait till next time I see the car with the interior back in it and get my much needed ride in it!

This thing kicks ass in person guys!

Is that video sped up? It does move quick.

I liked the red carpet. Do you still have it?

Alignment this weekend?

I never cared for the air ride setups most guys tend to run. I will admit though that your vid made me want to do the exact same thing to my car. Too bad I'm not skilled enough to pull it off.

thanks guys. Very Happy

havent gone for a ride yet, still tryin to get the interior back in.
the goal is to get it done by friday.

the speed of the system is perfect.
i thought it would be slower do to the weight of the car.
but was glad to see it moves pretty good.

Jim ill get in touch with you friday if the interiors all set.
maybe come down sat. afternoon or sunday.
i still have the red carpet if you want it.

the grille is custom.

ive had the car aired up since sunday and have not lost
any air in the bags or the tank.
im very pleased, usually a fitting or two needs a little tweaking.

i put it up on ramps tonight to check the clearance around the bags.
everything looks good. should be able to test drive this weekend.

took a few pics while i was under the car.

thanks Doug.
i tried to airbrush the console, came out alright.
when i cleared it thats when the problems started.
not sure what happened but the clear reacted with the airbrush paint and wrinkled.
had to resand the whole thing down and repaint.
so its just black like it was when you saw it.
ill take some pics today with it installed.
