| So, I've been doing dyno days every year for 10 years. Now that I'm in a new community, I thought I'd gauge interest. I generally need about 15-25 people to schedule them.
I'm working out rates with a few operators right now: SV Engineering in Peabody Boston Dyno in Malden and my mainstay: Enhanced Street Performance in Sterling
I've used ESP in Sterling for the past 4 years because they've got great rates, great customer support, AWD capable dyno and they provide us food and drink.
Let me know if you're interested.
I was hoping to use SV Engineering so I'm not so far away from home... my wife hates when I do these because I'm out all day. Also, I don't need the AWD dyno now, but it would be nice to do all 2WD cars... so I'll need some help filling rosters. The last 4 times it was almost 80% AWD cars.

| I'm guessing you dont have to worry about AWD here. (anymore) I'd be in. I'd dyno something. Whats the usual plan? # of pulls? Tuning available later? I also doubt you'd get that many to sign on, but get the shops "normal" rates too. | |

| Well, I'll normally start a thread in one place and eventually start grabbing other cars to fill the spots to get a discount rate. When I use ESP, it's 3 runs for $65 (2WD), includes food and drink. I also reached out to Slowhawk performance. Apparently they're the LS1tech forum sponsor/dyno I also rely on word of mouth to spread the news of it so we get to the discount rate (most places want a minimum of 15 people to get a discount 'day rate') Does not have to be a B-body only event. I'm kinda looking for a nice mix of cars, but I start with one specialty first (in this case, B-bodies) After I've exhausted all the B-body interest, I open it up for others. I do all the organization on a public document so people can see too: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AjxHfhrPKvBgdDMxWUN0VGxrQzJMdDVEdTc4NER2MXc&hl=en_US#gid=0 and I put all the videos up here: https://www.youtube.com/northshoreinnovation AND, I stream it live on the internet for people to watch with live updates prior to running. Last year we had it streaming on Ustream: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/north-shore-innovations we had 103 people watching that day. Not bad for a small local dyno day | |

| Good can you guys fire me an email with your name, year, make and model, mods, license plate # (it's how we enter the cars into the computer) and state
If we end up using ESP, we can actually pre-enter all this information the day before so there's no waiting around. I assume the same can be done with any dyno...

| I don't have a B-body worthy of the road let alone a dyno but I MIGHT be interested in taking the cougar out. I know for a fact that a few friends may be interested but I would wait to tell them until the B-body spots are filled. | |

| I vote for ESP. Maybe I could get Scott to tune the Marshmallow then, too. | |

| Ok. looks like LS1tech does a dyno day in April at Slowhawk. Might wait to hear a bit more about that.
I love ESP, but it's an hour out and back, and my wife hates when I'm gone for 12 hours on a Saturday...

| yeah, and if I'm not organizing it, that makes it easier for me to come, have fun and leave... without having to do all the work of setting it up, running it, etc... | |

| ugh, the first rate I got from SV Engineering was NOT competitive at all... apparently they charge $150/hr for Dyno runs (more than twice what ESP charges for 4WD and twice what Boston Dyno charges for it's regular rate)
They said a group rate would be $100...
I explained that my clientele expects a competitive rate and that over the past 10 years we've spent $65-75/3runs for 2WD and $75-85 for 4WD... and that I would have a hard time telling my groups that we're going to pay more money for less options.
We'll see how that comes back.
At this point, I might just go with SlowHawk and be a participant instead of an organizer.
However, if we can't get everyone in from here, I'll work on Boston Dyno in Malden. They have VERY competitive rates and are close. If all else fails, I'll go with ESP, simply out of loyalty.
And I've never had a PROBLEM with ESP, it's just a ways out for me and these days really piss my wife off.

| Ok, SV Engineering agreed to $75 for 3 pulls. they said they'd need 7-10 people. | |
