got in an accident on the highway today!

on the way to work this morning I got side swipped on route 95.
I fear the damage may be too much to repair.

damn man that sucks! everyone is getting hit! iam leaving my car in the garage! i have a good rear door if u decide to fix it and a pair of helping hands also.

I just may do that, although I still may have sum connections with a couple different b/s's

I'd take the check then use the money to return it to DGGM! Either way, that sucks. People around here are always going to be driving like idiots...

LOL, its funny I get mixed reviews from everyone that sees the car. So far more have liked the purple that hated. Some even say it grows on yah. When I cleaned it and "bars clay" the paint it actually looked pissa! Also it wasn't just another black SS.

IIRC the car is jammed with purple, is it silver also in there? Depending on the situation, I'd paint the whole thing a more manly shade of purple that's a darker hue but almost matches the purple door jams, or return the whole thing including jams to DGGM, since that color is rare and awesome, and when polished and sealed with sealer glaze, looks amazing because of the metallic. Either way, this is a great opportunity to do something cool with it. Yes it is your car, but I wouldn't do black, it will show even the slightest imperfection in the body, nevermind the black paint itself going on. The DGGM will hide things in comparison!

The purple is a nice color. But whatever you like, its yours. Make sure the door jams match unlike my car. And black is soo hard to keep nice. My car is a magnet for idiots and random scratches. I came out from shopping one day, and there were finger tips dragged from the center of my hood to the grill . not sure about that. didnt notice it before i went in.

I gotta take it to the insurance drive-in they were closed today.
Updates soon.

Make sure the car is all cleaned up inside and out and nice when they inspect it, aside from the damage from the accident!

I just got back from the insuance "drive-in" in easton. Doesn't sound good.

They trying to "total" it in spite of the custom paint job that their "insured" ruined on your car? Or was it your insurance company that looked at it (if you have collision)?

If the worst happens, you could always get a salvage title if you really wanted to.

Have an appraiser look at it, or get mike to write you a receipt for a custom paint job
