power antenna motor problem Empty
PostSubject: power antenna motor problem   power antenna motor problem EmptyWed Jul 20, 2011 4:07 pm

When I turn the car off, key out of the ignition, the antenna motor continues to click every so often. The car sat for a month and the motor killed the battery to the point it was worthless to charge. At the moment, I have the harness connector near the engine fuse box disconnected, no radio reception silent . Is there a relay, where is it located, and is this a somewhat common problem?

Just pulled the power to my DD just like you.
Same problem, same result.
I was thinking of just adding a toggle to the power in so I can use it and shut it down when its sitting.
Bush league fix but easy & effective

edit: I think there's an internal limit switch thats efing up so it never knows its down all the way.
I have another antenna that I was going to open up, I just hate to bust it
