| I am not getting any brake lights our turn signals on the passenger side tail light. I only have parking lights. Its not the bulbs. Any ideas I don't want to get harassed or rear ended. Thanks guys. | |

| Hey Tim
Keeping working your way back till you find voltage. I would guess it is not the wiring. Socket? Grounds? I know you know it, but the light bulbs have two filaments, one for parking and the other for brakes and directionals.

| I changed the bulbs so I know they are good. I don't think its a socket because two went out at the same time. | |

| Not sure how the set up on sedans are, but won't the tail lights get screwy if the 3rd brake light switch is dirty? Or am I talking out my rear? | |

| Check fuse 13, also Justin is right about the high mount brake light, but it would affect both sides I would think. Make sure it's a 2057 bulb and NOT an 1157. Also the high mount needs to be a 2357. Does the arrow on the dash come on and stay on when you put the right blinkers on? Or does it come on and blink? | |

| I always use 1157 with no problems. I don't have a third light I removed it to install a custom speaker board. The turn signal indicator stays solid. | |

| Idk I thought 2057's have different locking tabs. The 1157s will no doubt light up, but may rattle loose over time and maybe your not getting a good enough connection. Also what happened to the wires/socket from the high mount? Are they shorting out the system? I wanna say that there's a harness connector under the rear bumper skin that connects the left to the right tail light wiring harnesses but not 100% on that and also if your getting parking lights I can't see it being a wire problem. How abou tue flashed unit for the turns (not the one for hazards) oh and check to see if the hazards flash!!! Might help narrow it down. | |

| After studying an exterior lighting wire diagram I've narrowed it down to a possible worn out turn signal switch. The parking lights get their signal from the headlight switch. The brake lights/turn signal filament gets its signal from the turn signal switch which has its own separate left and right circuits. That would explain why it only failed on one side. | |

| I've got the same thing going on with my RMW right now. I'm hoping it is just the bulb.
