| I'm digging around online today trying to find info- I now have some cornering lights to put on the car, bulbs, sockets, etc. I just need to wire them in.
Found these two links:
http://www.butchthecat.com/94caprice/cl.htm
http://www.impalassforum.com/vBulletin/showthread.php?t=228620
Some said it's for 94+ cars only. But someone on the ISSF said they did it to a '92 and it was the same deal?
I'm going to investigate, just figured I'd post this up in case anyone here did it, or wants to...

| I looked real quick at my car last night, it appears that the swap would be EASIER on the 91-93 cars!
There is a small pigtail and plug that tapes out of the harness right behind the driver's side headlight. It's basically half of a weatherpack connector with two prongs inside, both an orange and a black wire running into it, and it's just dangling. Never been plugged in.
There is green corrosion on the two prongs inside the plug, so I'll probably just cut it off and wire/solder or just add some of those crimp on plugs to the wires and do it up. Haven't checked to see what's on the other side of the car, I'm assuming just the one on the driver's. I still may try to find a whole wiring harness from a junkyard for the cornering light system to make it a plug and play deal.

| What mystifies me is why they'd bother making the cars available without the option, when they could have just put the lights on all of them. | |

| I have them wired in my caprice, and it did not come with them. The harness is there to the connector by the pcm. You just need the harness from the connector to the sockets from a car with cornering lights. Mine works. I will get a pic of the location and wire colors. The two wires that have butt connectors. The wires were spliced to make them work from another car because the car did not have corner lamps, and since the headlight side of the harness did not have them in the connector, I cut them from the body side of the connector and just used butt connecters to bring them together. So if you get the entire headlight harness, it should be plug and play.

| On my TBI car, it's actually closer forward to the core support and lights than the 94+ cars, pretty funny. It's in plain view too, I found it in the dark!

| I see you have orange and black on the side of the connector you bypassed going out to the lights. Is that a factory harness section you added or did you get orange/black wiring to make one? | |

No the car side, it is built into the harness. The wire are there. On the headlight side of the connector, there was no wires for corner lamps, I just added the wire harness of the corner lamps to the existing harness. But if you take the entire headlight harness from a equipped car, it will be plug and play. left light on Passenger side on with no headlamps, just parking lamps. |

| Yep, that's what I meant, I knew all the cars came with it built into the harness, lol. I meant did you make the remainder of the harness for the lights yourself, or snag the rest of it from another car to complete the system? | |
