| The boxies are alot like the bubbles as far as where they tend to rust. Just make sure it hasn't been "tinkered" with too much. I passed on a car because the previous owner installed an e-brock carb and managed to route all the lines and hoses wrong. Between that and having to clean up leaking fuel lines from him using the wrong parts, it just wasn't worth it.
I'd say a nice coupe in decent shape that is roadworthy should go for about $2k. If they want more than that then either the interior, body, or drivetrain should be near mint.

| Pretty basic rust spots. Check door jambs lower quarters on bottom where there is a built in drain A pillars as mentioned BIG ONE check the doors. I searched three years to find a set and I've got a good set that I'll refinish and have primed and ready for a just in case situation. If the quarters or doors are bad pass on it unless you're really good with metal. The posts on the doors will rust and get flimsy and basically ready to fall off. Make sure that theyre solid. If thats all goodthen it sounds like a pretty good deal. Good luck CHECK THE DOORS | |

| If it runs then buy it. That's a great price for it no matter the rust. | |

| Surface rust aint a problem. It's the sunlight passing through the car that you have to watch out for | |

If the frame is bad there is an 84 four door parts car you could take the frame from, or just do the 9c1 frame swap ....I'll do it myself...someday
