| Anyone here done one? Care to discuss? I am thinking about it with a LQ4/4L60E or 4L80E combo.

| If you can afford it, do it. I would if I could. Although I would run as far away as you can from the 4L60E in the process...4L80E or 6 speed is the only way. | |

| You can't afford it I researched it for a few years and came to the conclussion that the best option for that Caprice is a LQ4/4l80e combo with the matching pcm and wiring harness. Also use a set of the L92 heads as well as the ls6 style car intake, which became the standard ls intake after I think 2002. Use the fuel filter/regulator from a certain year (forget which) Corvette and that solves the problem of the return line not being present on those intakes. The install kit and headers are avaialble through S&P if I remember right. By the way, you'll blow up the rear-end if you do it all right | |

| Those magnachargers can up the power by over 150 horses on an lq4 from the documentation I've seen. There's a Vette I see all the time at the local shows that has one. | |

| You'll want the headers from the same company as the mounts. They are designed as a package and mix-matching them will throw off the fitment of everything. I was going to start by putting in a 4l80 using a clear-image crossmember and then use that as the alignment point for the engine. That way the trans back would be properly aligned and it would force the engine into the correct position for the mounts to be installed. That method may cause interference with the firewall though once the engine is in place | |

| If I stick with the B's, my next motor build will most definately be an LQ4 and T56. So you know my vote. | |
