| Anyone ever seen, or even heard of a p1846 trouble code "Transmission Transfer Case Contact Plate A Circuit Failure"? It is a soft code that does not set a CEL. Once I replaced the OBD2 port, I plugged in, and this code came up. Checked the jeep wrangler forums, and pretty much the rest of the web. The only thing I get is what it is called. I can not find anything on the cause, or repair for it. Anyone have an idea? | |

I would become good friends with someone at a mopar dealer who has access to the service info. To me it sounds like a broken wire/corroded wire/bad connection but until you get a diagram and locations you may never know where to look. I'd start there or bight the bullit and try to score a printed manual if available, one with all the code diag procedures etc. | |
