Uploading and posting pictures 101

How do I upload a picture on to the forum?

Make an account on www.photobucket.com

You need to upload pictures from your computer, to photobucket.

Once there, you will be supplied a URL for the image.

Once you have that you can post it on the forum.

Put: <img]IMAGE URL[/img>

Just replace < and > with [ and ] respectively.

Thanks man, I just tried and it's way to much to figure out. You gotta understand, I've only had a computer for a year and sometimes I just gotta be shown. Not to mention if you've noticed I have no sig or nothin'. I do appriciate your help though, good looking out.

I will lay it out for you. It is easier to just go to www.imageshack.us there is no need to sign up.



Step one: Click browse

Step two: Locate your image

Step three: Click Open

You can also see there is a check box and a drop down menu. This will automatically resize your image. 640x480 is good for forums. Or, leave it unchecked if the size is already good.

Still with me?

Step four: Click Host it

After a few seconds depending on connection speed and image size you will see the following screen.



Copy the line noted. But only copy what you need. You dont need all that text. You just need whats inside the [img] tags.



Copy what is highlighted only and post it into a forum message.

And here is the image posted to the forum!

Another option for hosting and posting pics using photobucket.
Here is a step by step how to for posting pics.
Once you have opened a Photobucket account (it is FREE!) you will see a screen similar to this.
