| I thought it would look a lot different than the current one than this...however I do like it a lot better than the current one. I wasn't crazy about the fenders at first, but it's already growing on me, esp. that blue one. I hated the front fenders on the 07 Chevy trucks. | Oh man, I was waiting to see those, not too shabby.
Im partial to the current GMC models, they are pretty sharp in my eyes.
I actually like the Chevy models look better on the new ones, at first glance anyway.
Next summer/fall should be a great time to snag some deals on current models, thinking I will be in the market around that time-frame too. _________________ 1996 Impala SS - 45K original miles - 5.3 LS swap - Brand new Bilsteins...WHAT A DIFFERENCE!

| I feel the same about the new ones, I liked the old GMC better, now vice versa, but I actually like both now. I feel they used the 1983-84 as reference for the Chevys that will be like the blue one in the picture, whatever model that will be: That is my favorite nose style out of all the 73-87 trucks. | |

| Matt, I was thinking the same thing about the 83/84 trucks. And I LOVE the nose on the Z71. I think they did a good job. | |

| I heard they are updating the interior nicely too, I HATED the truck interior on the current body so much that I got the high-line model just so I could get the Suburban style interior. _________________ 1996 Impala SS - 45K original miles - 5.3 LS swap - Brand new Bilsteins...WHAT A DIFFERENCE!

As long as the truck doesn't duck face, we'll be ok!

LOL That's one way to put it. The new trucks are beautiful! I hope I can afford one before they are two decades old! I might have to play the lottery tonight just in case I decide I need one!

| You had me until the wheel well arches. They look like GMC style, and look hidius on a Chevy. It should have a flat drop off with a slight radius outward at the top of the arch. The Chevy design team needs to stay away from the GMC guys during lunch. I love the grill. _________________ 1980 Cadillac Coupe DeVille. 6.0 87k 2017 Chevrolet Silverado LT 4.3 Aluminum V6 (My daily) 2008 Saab 9.3 convertible (Wife's Daily)

| Ugh... The grill is horrible. The truck looks like the fenders and nose/grill are full size and the rest of the truck is 7/8 scale. I mean, look how much lower the top of the bed is than the top of the hood??? Horrid. Looks like the guy who penned (or autocad'd) the GMC Terrain ( ) also designed that. Yuck. _________________ Bill "The Verb" Crovo - Resident Car Slut & Unicorn Hunter A Toasted Marshmallow, A Long German, A Lame Suburban and expensive dreams... That is the ugly GMC I was thinking about when I saw the truck. As for the grill. I'm just going to have to go ahead and disagree with you... Mmmmkaaay?... | I'd like the grille if it was in proportion to the rest of the truck. It's too huge.
It looks like that truck was a great idea, it is just weak on the follow through... Really??? The 08? I'm surprised. I think the 08+ is the ugliest ford to come out in years! I'm diverse with my vehicular interests, I obviously buy fords if I like them, and I have driven and worked with an 08 SD for years and I hate the thing! Give me any ford truck from 1980-2007 and I'd actually treat it well. Yes, even a 6.0 PSD! Anything 08+ from ford just looks like crap to me! TBH the current dodge is still the best looking truck right now! Go figure.

I agree, that grill is too big and "gappy" and I also like the previous design better, but it still looks a TON better than that awful new Chevy. But an aftermarket grill and headlights and that big ole Furd can be pretty again. _________________ Bill "The Verb" Crovo - Resident Car Slut & Unicorn Hunter A Toasted Marshmallow, A Long German, A Lame Suburban and expensive dreams... | Yeah, that helps a lot. But I also like the side window shape and how it just looks like a tough truck without trying so hard to scream "No really! I'm TOUGH!" like the new Chevy. Well, aside from the big ugly grille, that is. _________________ Bill "The Verb" Crovo - Resident Car Slut & Unicorn Hunter A Toasted Marshmallow, A Long German, A Lame Suburban and expensive dreams... | I'm a GM guy, been a GM guy my whole life. Always had GM trucks, our whole fleet are GM trucks, but the last good GM truck was 07 classic, the 07.5 and up truck suck ass. As a matter of fact, i've had my 07 classic for 5 1/2 years and i was thinking about trading, but i can't find a GM i'd even consider buying. So mine is headed to the GM dealer for an overhaul.
Had a bunch of friends buy the new Dmax trucks, 10-12 MPG in the 3/4 crews. Sad. Hate to say it, but i drove a new cummins dodge and i liked it.
As for Ford, i just hate the truck line, good or bad, i just hate the look and the ride.

| Love my 08 Silverado work truck. (1 of 2 in our fleet) It's bigger and the interior is more comfortable than the older Silverados in our fleet. (2 '06 and 3 early 2000's) I'm talking straight up W/T 6 cylinder models here. Maybe if the older Silverados were optioned I'd find them more comfortable. | |

| My brother had an 07-up "NNBS" ECSB style Chevy truck as a rental a couple years ago when his car got dented and was being fixed. I drove it and liked it, but some of the interior parts seemed noticeably chintzy compared to the previous generation, even though they were slightly more advanced at the same time. GM went back to Christmas-tree fasteners for the door panels and stuff like that I hear too, where the older body style was assembled in a way that made maintenance easy, the door panels on my Tahoe pop off like nothing once you remove the retaining screws, most of the dash doesn't require tools to take apart, etc. My friend got an 07 GMC crew cab that is the classic body style and I love that truck, that's probably what I'd get directly after the Tahoe if something happens with it... | |

| I know a lot of you guys love the new Chevy and GMC TRUCK's that just launched this week.
But there has been a MAJOR cry of design flaw with regard to style on both vehicles exteriors. Start GOOGLE and look up most of the major auto sites, like autoblog, insideline, leftlane news, and gminside news. The review on the styling is horrible.
Wheel arches... the definition is just that, an arch, not a square above the tires.
And since when did a wheel arch abut the hood line with in 2 inches????
Someone needs a demotion at GM for these two ugly truck redesign/refresh

| Auto styling is win/lose. Some people love it and some people hate it. Kind of like how so many B-body guys absolutely HATE the RMS nose. Then others love it! That's pretty much how it is with everything in the world. Some people like cab-over trucks, some like traditional. Some people like black coffee, some like extra extra cream. Some people like enduro races, some people dont . Some dudes dig fat chicks, other guys dont! It's the way the world works. | |
