2 wagons, 1 sedan in JY

I went yarding this morning myself. Pickings were slim, 2 93 wagons there. One black caprice and a LAB RMW. The Caprice is a repaint, was silver. No D pillar lenses as usual . These were some clean wagons, no rot, just surface rust on the frames, real shame they were there. The wood trim on the roady was junk, the stainless was dented or missing. I grabbed the vent windows (the ones that were intact) and the spare cover screw things. There was also a black B4U caprice sedan with cloth power red guts. Paint still on the steering wheel, must be low milage. No rust as well. If this yard would sell just the quarters it would be great, but I think someone here tried to buy them and they would only sell half a car! This was at the chuch and eddies in southington CT

I wish they'd sell you a whole car, but those guys are d-bags of the highest order. I went there over the summer for quarters from a clean '92 they had. I showed the guy what I wanted. He refused to cut them "because they'd take too long and its a fire hazard cuz I have to drop the gas tank and remove the interior" (wtf?) But hed cut the car from the rear window back and sell me the rear clip for $350, but no tailgate, rear axle or glass. Screw that. Called back about a month later to see if they wanted to deal. They crushed the car. Two clean quarters gone.

Thats why I'm going to have a place like that crazy old guy in RI with the mustangs rusting away. I want my own yard. grr

Thats when you need to be able to take delivery
Then you strip the clip & send the remains back
Sell what you didnt need & it cost you diddley
Course taking delivery of a rear clip?
How the hell do you do that?

Apparently if I lived in CT he'd deliver it for free. Problem is I don't and was just under an hr away from there to my house.

Haha. I still wasn't going to pay $350 for a rear clip that has zero usable parts once I cut the quarters off.

That yard can be real asses when they want to be. I wanted an aluminum oil pan off a bonny for my riv but they wouldnt sell it to me! "you have to get it from the parts center down the road". You can't remove it becuase theres oil in it. BS! And no, they did not have one at the part center. I requested an aluminum pan and all they could tell me was they had a "metal pan". Thats tells me nothing! Soemtimes its worth dealing with them, they do get decent cars from time to time and the prices on some parts isn't that bad. They usually get $20 for wagon vent glass and $30 for alloys.
