| Ok guys....looking for some help. I am thinking about building a 91-96. I am keeping my box (I love that car), but since ECIRS won't let me race, I am thinking about building a monster 91-96 (and maybe use it to run some other classes as well). That being said, I am looking for a solid ROLLER. I am not looking to spend big dollar on a car that I am just going to use as a shell. I don't need motor/ trans. Don't care what rear end is in it. Dont need any wiring/ computer nonsense. All I need is a SHELL. I would like something with an interior (if front seats are missing, thats ok. If gauge cluster is missing thats fine too. AC/ heat stuff is not needed. The biggest thing with this search is I need something solid, and a clean body (interior is not as important). As long as the paint is in pretty good shape and the body is SOLID I will consider it. Let me know what you have, and lend me a hand. I'm sick of these 91-96 dicks (not the guys here) giving me shit about my car not being a real "b-body." So I guess im going to have to build a new car to shut everyone up Help me out guys. I know there's a bunch of you part whores on here! | |

| Thanks Brian, my brother keeps trying to get me to go back and dyno it again ( i guess they changed the cable for the spark pickup and what-not)...but he doesent understand that I dont want to drive 2 hours for a ball park number with no afr lol. Maybe next year when I can break the dyno I will come back | |

Help me out guys. I know there's a bunch of you part whores on here! THEY HAVE THE SAME CHASSIS! GOD DAMMIT! Stupid! Boxes gave birth to bubbles, those guys really suck, I remember you telling me that. Screw 'em and beat them with both cars. Try asking Glen, its a hike to get to Maine, but still he has plenty of cars, or so they say lol.

| It is not like they are trying to keep you out of their club. But the fact is that ECIRS was started to create a race league for 94-96 Impala ss cars. You have to put some kind of control on it, or it runs amuck. How would you guys like it if we let boxy caprices, and wagons and fleetwoods here?............. Oh wait. What? |

| I've always thought all people owning some sort of a "Chevrolet" (passenger, not a Monte, Camaro, Chevelle, etc.) should stick together as a group, lol. They're all pretty much the same basic design premise... That last car would be a find, I wonder how it is underneath... | |

No prob man. its been completely sandblasted underneith, and i POR 15ed most of it. Needs patches over the front mounts and some rear quarter work. Its gutted except the dash and steering column. Comes with trunk lid, manual window doors. I'll try to post up some pics for you.

This 96 body was my first 9c1, it had power locks, that's it. I have door panels, front seats, the fenders need work, and I have a couple hoods, everything a boy could want

| Man if this thing has manual windows, I think I would be all set with nothing but the dash/ steering wheel.
Im thinking a full flat black body, gloss black aluminum door panels, dye the dash black, black carpet, gloss black 25-5 cage, autometer carbon gauges...ugghh the list goes on and on.
I popped a chubby....is that bad?

Do you have a few better shots of the floor boards? I see the rust on the rear quarters youre tlaking about (not as bad as I anticipated), but is there anything worth mentioning on the floors?

| Floorboards are fine, the worst spots are the front mount on the pass side, and the quarters. | |

ECIRS look out I just got on this thread & saw you were looking for exactly the same type of car I sent to the crusher 1 month ago, (a 95 Philly 9C1 marked car), and even though I saved the rolling chassis w/engine & trans, I was feeling bad, but then I see you found one in Maine! This group of guys is really awesome. I will be looking to see how that project develops.

Btw, welcome aboard! Thank you very much, and I feel honored to participate in these discussions. I am sorry if I came across as a heartless s.o.b. because it REALLY hurt my heart to send it off. I own 18 cars/trucks/motorcycles. Of that bunch, 6 boxy 9C1s, 1 96 9C1 & two 88 LS-Broughams, so room is very limited. The car was supposed to go to a co-worker but he waisted my time & flaked out. With no room at home for it and the patience of the home owner where it was stored worn thin, (they were waiting on me to move this car out to re-pave their driveway), I pulled the complete rolling chassis and we flat bedded it to 9C1 heaven. I want to show photos because I try to document everything but I am a beginner on computers.

Will somebody please tutor me on how to post photos. I am not a computer guy. Besides, maybe you would not call me such a lucky bastardo, if you saw the condition of some of them, even though they all run. I am beginning to realize that one difference between myself and most of you guys is that as you own your cars they ALL seem to continue to improve, and mine seem to become increasingly beat up looking! I hope some of your methods rub off on me.
