| Looking for a set of winter tires to mount on the Cappy. Laura is going to be driving 2,500 miles per month all winter long so they need to have some meat left on them. If anybody has some that they feel can survive a winters worth of highway driving then shoot me a line. Don't need anything super fancy, but they have to be able to keep the car safe and sound in the snow. | |

| Laura didn't officially have her new job until a couple days ago so we didn't want to get too far ahead of ourselves with winter planning. | |

| I have a set of old school hakapallittas (sp?) off one of my parts cars on a rusty set of N97s, good tread. Yours if you get them out of the garage.

| Not a biggy. I have a jack that actually works now so pads aint a problem. The rotors are still good so it'll be an easy job. | |

| This needs to get bumped back up. And they aren't the same size as Steves request so no toes being stepped on.
I'd like to snag a set in the next month or so if someone has a set laying around. Otherwise we'll start hitting up the junkyards and see if somebody managed to wreck a car after planning for winter. It's worked for us before, but it's not the most dependable method for finding tires. | |

| I have the set I bought off crovo. If you can find a tire shop to patch the inside... it's JUST on the sidewall but barely..its almost in the tread but its not.. caught a screw in it. | |

| Not up for another 6 hour round trip. It takes too much out of me. Otherwise I'd be up there already. Somehow Laura ended up with all my good parts that I grabbed last time. Guess we actually needed them instead of just wanted them | |

| What size do you need? 215s, 225s, 235s? How much is the most you will spend? |

| Not sure. It's Lauras car so it's her call. I'm pretty sure she's running 215-70 but I have to double check when I'm doing the brakes on Sunday. | |

| Get 215s if you can, that size is outrageous in the snow, they cut right through! | |

| My new DD (being lowered) made me put 215-70-15's on the front I had 235-75-15's all around on the stock ride height. With those 235-75's out back I'm gonna be riding like Tim now........ with that noticable rake. _________________ Steve 96BBB 28K 3.42 Bolt-ons 95BBB 100K 3.73 383 New DD...already broke fixt the 4L60E twice 95 Black WB4 Hole...ee...grail 96 Black WB4 No holes in this 95BBB 189K 3.08 Old DD Stolen...by Matt. | What makes my car rake so much in combination with the shocks is the tires. The rears are taller than the fronts! | |
