| Finally my custom pro built Heavy Duty Street Strip 4L65-E is complete and installed. They finished it today! I had it built by Reliable Transmissions located at 305 Union Street in Holbrook, MA (781) 767-6080. They do great work and built everything to my needs. The trans has a 2,100RPM stall Street/Strip torque converter in it, a custom built shift kit, "the Beast" (sun gear reaction shell), Hardened input and output shafts, 5 pinion planetaries instead of 4 pinion. I can't wait to get my license back last week of May so that i can drive it everyday.
Next on the agenda is to ever so delicately remove my gauge cluster pass it off to my friends at O'Brien Car Care so that I can have it rebuilt. I am sick of having to look at my indash NAVI screen to see how fast I am going. It seems a lot of people have problems with the digital cluster fading or completely blowing out like mine has.
And then the car has to go to Susi Auto Body in Dorchester, MA to have paint and body work done to the driver side door and driver sead rear quarter panel and trunk lid. Would throw on an OEM Impala SS spoiler if i could find one for the right price before they spray the trunk with paint in two weeks.
After that the rear edelbrock IAS performer shocks and Eibach Impala SS lowering springs have to be put in by me in my driveway...Mom's gonna kill me.
Then i need to find a 9C1 or Impala SS steering box with the tighter gear ratio.
All this should be done by 4th of July weekend as long as money and parts exist hahaha.
Let me know if any of you know anyone with the parts I am looking for
THANKS

| Doug (pooge) probably has all the parts you're looking for. And his prices are really great. What'd they charge you for the build? I'm still undecided if the marshmallow is getting a T56 or a built auto... Sounds like your car is heading in the right direction! _________________ Bill "The Verb" Crovo - Resident Car Slut & Unicorn Hunter A Toasted Marshmallow, A Long German, A Lame Suburban and expensive dreams... | $1900 was the grand total
the only major part that i reused was the transmission case because it was free from corrosion and cracks.

| I had the factory OEM 4L60-E that my Caprice Classic came with back in 1996. I had the entire thing torn down and gutted. 90% of the parts in it are 4L65-E parts such as 5 pinion planetaries and hardened input/output shafts. $1900 was the installed price.
I was thinking about the camaro gauges but didnt know if it was a direct swap. I like how my speedo is digital and would hate to lose that feature. It still bothers me til this day that the Impala SS gauges only show RPM, MPH, Fuel, Temp., and Miles. I like how the factory Caprice gauges also show Battery Voltage, and Oil pressure...
