| So my big mistake of the month happened today. I was tired of how quiet the exhaust was on the Marshmallow. I had a set of Z28 tips laying around for it and I wanted them ON THERE! Now! No... YESTERDAY! All of a sudden-like. It just hit me hard yesterday... Weird. But I also have those summit headers and exhaust, that I hadn't had time to install yet, that also just so happen to fit a Monte Carlo... SooooOOOooooo I decided to stop waiting and have my buddy delete the mufflers and throw the tips on. BAD IDEA!!!!!Holy stupid Redneck, Batman! Who the Hell thought this would sound good??? ugh. Never believe what you read on the interwebs... So many people had done it and said they loved it. Well... it sounds like ass. Amplified Ass. Here I was thinking it'd sound like my Impala did with 2.5" exhaust, no muffs, and glasspacks where the resonators were. NOT EVEN CLOSE!!!! it sounds like a beat up old pick-up truck! It actually sounds like a 50's led sled should sound, I'm sure you know what I mean. Like it needs flamethrowers. That doesn't fit here. So what did I fix? My headlight issue. Sorta. I removed the projectors and reinstalled the tinted lense on the buckets they came with. I still had my APC harness installed, so I hooked it back up and plugged in some Silverstars. It's better light than those projectors put out, for sure! But still not enough of it. Those Street Trends tinted lights have a very tight horizontal band of light. There's no light on the ground directly in front of the car and at a normal following distance, I barely light the top of the bumper of the car in front of me. HID's in these lights would fix this, I think. I need to troubleshoot my HID hi/lo kit (loose connection somewhere) and toss those in and I think I'll be golden. Side note, I think those lights look EVEN BETTER without the projector and angel eyes in there. It's the same color as the grille, so it's like "one visual piece" from corner light to corner light. I diggit. No I don't have pics of vids of either. I suck. Been that kinda day... _________________ Bill "The Verb" Crovo - Resident Car Slut & Unicorn Hunter A Toasted Marshmallow, A Long German, A Lame Suburban and expensive dreams... | I opened this thread based on the title, and the known habits of it's poster making sure there are visual aids with his giberish regarding his shenanigans. But all I got was the giberish of a man regarding his shenanigans, and zero visual aids. You sir, FAIL! |

| So your not recommending the street trends lights unless also running projectors? That sucks since I'm ready for some more light with all the night driving I'm doing lately. | |

| I'd rather not blind oncoming traffic. I drive on some narrow streets and if they have a hard time seeing where their lane ends it could be ugly. | |

| HID's in your stock housings would be your best bet. And you won't blind oncoming drivers if aimed properly. I had HID's and never got flashed.
And actually, if you can swing it, your REAL best bet is a set of brand new repro buckets offin ebay. They are now DIRT CHEAP and can be had for like 70 bucks a pair. Those and HID's work the balls in my SS. _________________ Bill "The Verb" Crovo - Resident Car Slut & Unicorn Hunter A Toasted Marshmallow, A Long German, A Lame Suburban and expensive dreams...
