| As far as I know the only difference frame wise is for the Fleetwood which is stretched 6 inches and the wagons which are boxed and use a different gas tank. For sedans the frames should be exactly the same between the models and years your looking at. | |

| No, I'm pretty sure the 9C1 frame is thicker in some spots or boxed differently. I'm not exactly sure the differences - I remember the discussion on ISSF a few years ago though. | |

| I am only aware of the changes made for the 94 year in which the frame was altered for the lower ac compressor, but Fisher might be on to something, but I am not sure myself about the stiffer frame in the 9c1. |

| I have done a bit of research on this. From what I have read you should be perfectly interchangeable, however the 9C1 frame is a little thicker steel...I believe .10 versus .15 thickness if that sounds right...
I could be off, but I seem to recall something like that.

That was my thoughts, but keep in mind that the SS had the civilian frame too, from what I read, and people surely beat the bag out of those too... Doug | |

| I was under the impression that the 9c1/SS frame was HD. | |

| The 9C1 frames are supposed to be thicker, but the real stiffness comes from the additional body bushings in the front. The civi cars and WX3 didn't use the front 2 (3) sets of body-to-frame bushings. Only the 9C1s and wagons got them. All B-body sedan frames are interchangable... Caprice civi sedan, 9C1, B4U, WX3, Roadmaster sedan.
