| Replacing trans lines on my caddy..... has anyone removed the trans temp sensor and block from the lines without any issues?
I’d think its not needed for a daily driver but then again it was designed to be there from the factory for a daily driven vehicle.. | |

| Never knew it had one.
Ask over at the Impala forum or Wagon forum. Joel the transmission guy should be able to answer your question.

| Thanks Tom. At least that’s what I think this thing is. It’s a small box with a one wire sensor that s coming off the trans cooler lines. The trans lines tap into it. It’s in a ridiculous spot so I don’t want to reinstall if I don’t have to. | |

| If you mean the brass type block on the trans lines it’s the TC over temp switch. Locks the converter earlier I guess when the PCM is told the trans is super hot. Without it, the pcm just wont get that signal. Plenty of people have deleted it. I don’t even think it’s connected on mine. I don’t think L99 cars came with one either. | |
