PostSubject: '94 Roadmaster HVAC DTC 26?   Sun Jun 01, 2014 5:40 pm

When accessing the diagnostics through the digital climate control, when selecting -02 (actual results for the HVAC DTCs) I have a code (1)26. 1 being the history count, and 26 being described as "Serial Data Communication (circuit shorted to battery, shorted to ground, or circuit open).

I'm sure the FSM has the steps to locate and fix the issue, but I'd like to know if anyone has had this issue before. My AC is not working and this very well may be the culprit. It's getting hot out!

Thanks.

I would get a diagram for the HVAC system and follow every wire/connector to see if something is unplugged/corroded/broken wire or anything similar. I'd be willing to bet there is a wire that wore through, popped a fuse, left the circuit open and set the code.

I had this SAME code 126 in (-02) in my black Fleetwood.
Looked everywhere for info on how to fix... Found nothing.
