This is kinda sorta fitting into the stupid questions category I believe, but I'll ask anyway.

In the SS, the glovebox door doesn't latch tight enough to shut the light off inside. Basically when it's closed, it doesn't look bad, but if you push on the door, you realize it can close tighter by about 3/16 to maybe a quarter inch. To push the button for the light in and shut it off, it probably needs to go 1/8" further.

I've tried bending the metal piece on the dashboard in and fiddled with some other stuff to no avail, right now I have the bulb pulled out of the socket in there so it doesn't stay on.

I'm going to go check one out at the junkyard and see what's up, I've wondered if the door is actually closing correctly and it's the light switch that's messed up, but I dunno. I suppose I could stuck a rubber piece on the inside of the door to make it contact the switch button...but that would trigger my OCD...Laughing

Is this a common thing to be messed up on these cars?

LOL. I dunno, I think maybe that specialty Duck Tape with the mustaches all over it would look a little better.

I should try the latch or the door that I have from you there Tim...I'm gonna go see if I can snag the little metal tang from the dash first though and try it in there.

First thing you should do is check and see if the warranty is up on that car yet.jocolor
