Hit & Run and modding the Caddy Empty
PostSubject: Hit & Run and modding the Caddy   Hit & Run and modding the Caddy EmptySun Dec 22, 2013 1:28 am

Having just drooled all over myself watching that '67 Lincoln in the movie Hit & Run for the 4th time in a few months, I'm thinking I may want to change my mind from  keeping the Caddy all stock to modding the shit out of it. Just for grins, for a trial run, (and I'm gonna try this anyway in the spring after the Caddy comes out of storage, but just for some moral support...) can I take the Brian Herter/Mike454SS modded PCM out of my 9C1, slap it in the Caddy and see how she goes? I know the speedo will be off, but I'm pretty good at math and dont give a **** about that. The 9C1 is starting to rot and the Caddy is like it just rolled off the assy line, so I'm thinking in a year or two the 9C1 PCM, 4.10 posi, lowered 9C1 suspension and such may find it's way into the Caddy.... Also will be interested in some OBD1 tuning software, but maybe that's anothere thread...

BTW, anyone who would like an action/adventure/comedy with a 700 hp '67 Lincoln, late model Vette and late model Caddy in car chases should check out the movie. Great flick.

Totally not where I thought this topic was going! Phew! Smile

Should work, but there may be some hvac issues without starting with the caddy base file. Or maybe that's just the buicks? I dunno. Worth a shot!

And never heard of that movie. How old is it?

It's supposed to be corny! There's alot of "corniness" in it. I LMFAO at how the little POS (whatever it was) tried to do donuts too and hit the curb. I think if you watch the movie start to finish on a real TV and realize that it's supposed to be corny, you might like it... or not... I loved it.

Anyway, on the Caddy, I've got plenty of time to think about it. I think a built LT1 with a cloth top would be the ultimate sleeper!

First car I've seen "murdered out" and actually liked it.  Arrow

I definitely construed the title of this thread as "Someone backed into my mint Florida-sourced Caddy in a supahmahket pahkin' lot, oh well, guess I can mod it now"... Laughing
