Just remove it then and put in a piece of straight pipe in it's place if your gonna hollow it out. Monstro 1 (the 92) had nothing there and it ran great and didn't stink.

I have a hollowed out cat in there now I want to leave it as is incase they look under the car when I go for a sticker.

I'm looking for a replacement since I broke the mounting bracket.

Can't weld it back together?

lol, oh. I'd just go with straight pipe and weld the bottom of the old cat to the pipe.

You can just have a piece of rod welded to the cat and stuck into the rubber hanger
