| I mentioned this car in another thread so I figured I'd post a few pics. This is my friends 82 2 door. I believe it has a 289 in it. It'll be going up for sale in the spring, so if anyone is interested let me know. Located in Medford, MA. | |

| I think you might mean the 262 small small block, I've never heard of a Chevy 289, certainly not in a caprice. That thing is only a few trim pieces away from being perfect. I now know you were really bsing about enduro'ing that car just to stir the pot. Too clean to race applies in this case. Someone in the club should buy it, to drive it , and then I wont feel so alone in two door land. | |

| You're probably right about the 262...I just know he bought it thinking it was a 305 and later found it was a 2-something. I hadn't heard of...whatever he said it was.
Yes, too nice to race. | |

Yes, too nice to race. Yeah, the 80 coupe I looked at years ago had it, and it burned oil...lots! It was, among other things, why I walked away from that car. The guy wanted more for that than I paid for my 87 which was really clean before my accident. | |

| You mean 267 Matt. The 262 is a v6 engine. Although there was a 262 v8 in 1975/1976 ONLY. The 267 was the 3.5" bore POS engine in the few 80's Caprice's that had them (79-82). Also used on G-body, F-body, and Malibu's (A-body???) | |
