Storm Prep?

So0 far no B-bodies have been hurt, but I did loose the rear window of my Riviera

That sux! Will insurance cover it?

Rain and wind recently got pretty bad here. News says the storm was downgraded to a tropical storm tho.

The old tent in the driveway is still there, I really hope it stays there. The news said the worst would be over at 8:30 PM. It's 9:16 and this is the worst wind I've heard all night.

Well a tree fell into my driveway and hit the Lincoln....

Every year that car seems to get hit by something during the first storm of the year.

Didn't want to get wet but my guess is I will need to get another front grille.

At least they are an easy part to get.

So far we are doing pretty good! Rain and wind, but no trees down yet (none are close enough to fall on cars or house), drainage is holding up well, we busted ass Sunday and so far it is paying off! Let's hope it stays that way overnight.

I hope everyone else make out well, hang in there!

So power didnt go out until 1PM
Got the call at work, came home fired up the generator & watched the leaves blow by.
About 6PM they got me back online...not bad at all.

Still left the vehicles in a position where they cant get hit

Well back here at Studio W there's a big problem, the cougar hasn't been hit yet; but thank god the Caprice is still good so is the frame!

I think it's all done. Havn't looked outside. But I didn't hear any crazy noises. I never lost power more than 30 seconds. But, I did lose internet for a few hours.

I guess it's done here. Didn't lose power. News says that its curling around and is gonna wack upstate New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, new hamster, and southern Maine. I'm sure it will change again.

First my recycling bin gets knocked over in the great earthquake of 2012, and now sandy has blown it away.

I sure hope everyone is ok. Went to work to find it the only area anywhere near by without power.

We got lucky again, everything held up really well that we had worked on, with the exception of one small spot that allowed a little silt to run under our fabric. Looks like we will have about a half hour clean-up when it dries out.

we never lost power either, go figure, I bought a generator 2 years ago and we have yet to use it other than to keep fresh gas in it once a month...

The storm ended up being a non event here. Rain, gusty winds but nothing horrible. Hell, we had the windows open about 9 last night to let thecool air in! Didn't loose power. Sun is currently shining and drying everything out. Thoughts go out to people in NY and NJ thou.

Dropped out again @ 3AM...
Wouldnt have even noticed but at 3:30AM one of the smoke alarms failed & all the alarms in the system started going off.
Took me 10 minutes of searching to find the culprit.
Well...actually 5 minutes to rationalize why the smoke alarms were squeeling without power....& 5 minutes to find the failed unit.

Powers still out...generator running so I'm not roughing it at all.

90 degrees in the sun on the deck.

Watching the news....Mother Nature still owns us at will.

I brought the entire contents of my basement up to my office...

Unfortunately I didn't have that car registered or insured yet, so I have to eat this cost myself. Or figure out how to replace it myself.

Like I said on another forum. There are going to be some pissed off cabbies. Those cars were going to be able to take them til at least 2015 depending on when they were registered to stave off buying that fugly and expensive Nissan taxi.

I am sure those are the last built too.

I believe that they were. This was their last order of them sitting waiting to be used.

IIRC that's where the had them parked! That really sucks. Chevy guy all the way but I like a few fords (obviously I own one) and those CV's are one of them. That's a big loss.
