| Ok, so I the middle of rebuilding my B4U I decided I really wanted to make a sorta copy of a 95 NHSP car, then realized I had most of the stuff to do it...and I have a police-car fetish (according to my friends) What I have got completed so far: New Chandler-Motorsports Opti New plugs, wires, and fuel filter New GM waterpump, rad hoses, radiator Removed mechanical fan & converted to electric Cleaned, and painted 4 super nice N97's, & mounted 4 new 255/60/15 BFG's Alignment 16 qt trans flush Fixed leaking trans-cooler lines Removed broken manifold bolts in heads, replaced all lower manifold studs, had manifold resurfaced, replace manifold bolts with stainless Made cat eliminator pipes, installed flowmaster 2 1/2" H-pipe with turbo mufflers air pump, and home plate delete Removed interior Painted floors (inside and out), frame, and radiator support Had rear window removed and resealed (by glass company) Doing bodywork on rear decklid I got that has Moss rear spoiler More to come........ B4U before anything: Manifold: N97's: Interior start: rad support: decklid and Moss spoiler:

| Working on the push-bar today. It's a Setina for a Crown-Vic that I'm going to have to mod to make fit right, but it's the style of bar I like This is what it's starts out looking like: I cut the center support out, so I can move it up 2 1/2 inches. Sectioning the side to take 3 1/2 out of the height, then notching the sides for a Caprice bumper profile So far: | |

| I had a push bar just like that one once, now I wish that I'd kept it.
From what little I've seen this is a whole 'nother level of cloning. My SS will be jealous.

| No you dont.
Just bring the coffee & donuts to Als shop.
I'm sure he'll let you sit in it & make siren noises while shining the spotlight if you ask nicely.

| If you need one of the rubber gaskets that go over the cutout edge, I've got a bunch. Free. Better than eBay prices for em | |

SWEET! I was looking for the one I had (and could'nt find) last night. Any ideas on where to get a passenger side upper roof gasket (the one with the hole in it)? I have two spotlights, but kinda need that gasket to make it work. TIA

| You mean you need the weather stripping with the hole in it? I'm sure if Jim or Glenn don't have any, you could modify a regular one to work just the same.
My BIGGEST concern for you guys using spotlights on non 9C1 prepped cars is the inside pillar (under weather strip) brackets. Indy said he could make a mold if mine and try to machine a set.
Next to impossible to find as it, as I've been told by unity, that part is GM specific OEM for the caprice. Again, not to put anyone on the spot, but Glenn might have one stashed away.
A sigh of relief that mine were in the trunk in the quarter panels.

| I don't remember ever seeing a car (aside from photos) with dual spots. If it wasn't a black '95 door I would have enjoyed it more watching the door get cut. | |

| I know alot of 7x7 9c1s were used in Cali. Still pretty common with p71 vics. I don't see too many here if any at all. You can look at mine if you go to the roundup | |

| wow,.
I bought back my original white NJ 9c1 last fall,.its white,.it has 3:73's,and converter,. complete 96 SS interior, but with 12 way bonnys,. camaro dash,..eibachs,bilsteins,..13" 4 piston vette front brakes,. black SS wheels, has a 1 of a kind rear ss spoiler with 3rd brake light in it,.all 6 tail lights are leds too,. originally bought bone stock from abe bergeron,.
come to think of it,.in my parts trailer,.i have a 2nd impala ss interior,.and the complete mint blue 9c1 interior for the car,.buncha n97's too
Is this the new cool ? to return the car to original? Mebbe i should do a black n white cop car paint job?
seems i,m only a black squirt away from an SS clone!!
Nick door is still cut out for the light,.
