If theyre the same as the good ole days, the handle pushes on a splined shaft.
The handle has 2 slots (one on either side of the handle portion) where it engages the shaft.
There is a clip that looks somewhat like a horshoe & it slides into the slots & locks into a recess cut around the diameter of the splined shaft.
To remove, get a paperclip bent 90 deg about 1/8 long, push in on the door panel & fing the non-open end of the horseshoe, hook it & pull (using needle nose on the paperclip for strength.
