pre-cliffs in case you forgot: car leaks water in passenger well, killed blower motor. I have no heat
It's been long enough that I haven't had a free weekend to fix it. I had to drive it on Saturday night to the train station and then I ended up getting back around 1130 and the car was frosted over. sweet.
So my friend and I tried to wash the windows a bit, but one of the sprayers has a cracked line. So we just got in, rolled the windows down and drove to the gas station... with our heads out the window. Probably the sketchiest, most unsafe I've done in a car in the past 10 years... but we needed to get home.
I was trying to block time next weekend to do it and I ended up getting called in to work next weekend, so that's out.
I've been calling people around the area to look at it for me. No one wanted to touch it. "We don't do leaks"was the most common answer. "Bring it to a body shop" was the next, and the body shops didn't want to touch it either...
So, in a moment of panic, I called my old Audi tech. He immediately says "yeah, sure... I got this ultrasonic tool that can find a leak without having to remove a single thing. I can have it located, patched and back to you in less than a day."
So it's got an appointment next Tuesday for leak fix and blower motor install.
Sucks I couldn't find time to tear into it myself, but holiday season is generally booked solid with extra work for extra money, holiday events and other stuff.
