| wow, how long ago did you get rid of it? looks pretty clean in the pics, you gotta imagine it's pretty trashed now to be heading to a derby!

| Nah man, it was in rough shape. It had nice paint (original color, but repaint) but they used a ton of bondo in the quarters back in the 1980s or something. It was falling apart, and the only good body panels were the hood, header panel, trunklid, and part of the roof. The frame was okay but the body needed everything. But, I put about 60K miles on the car and it never broke down. When I first got the yellow one, I was going to paint it the same green color and swap the interior, then I slapped myself and realized it would be dumb to mess with a car that's so nice and original. Someday I'm DEFINITELY going to duplicate the green one, everyone loved it, got comments constantly! I sold that car to my friend (kid in the red shirt in the pic with the 2 cars shown) and he drove it daily for a while after riveting patches all over it and spraying them with black bedliner as a temp fix. Was going to restore it and sold it to the guy who is now demoing it. I may or may not go to the event. This is how it looked when I sold it- I am leaning toward putting a set of these kind of whitewalls on the car I have now using the chrome wheels, think that'd look better than the BFGs? Unfortunately the guy told me he wasn't able to save this: I had some truck Rallys on it for a while too, I was going to put them on the yellow car, but I like the chrome ones on it now so I sold them. The damn car still has 4 new KYB shocks and TRW HefTCoils in the back! | |

| ah, I can see now that she was a bit rough, but that still sucks.
Talk to Crovo about the white walls he has on his rigs, he said they were like $25 each...

Doug Yeah, I really like how those wide-stripe whitewalls look on these cars. They used to be easier to find, you could just walk right into Firestone and pick up a set of FR721's cheap. They stopped making them soon after I bought those. They also stopped making several other kinds, Broadway Classic, etc. Now you have to get the dumb overpriced Coker versions that are like 120 a tire, however I did find some online that are like 70 a piece, "Broadway Shadow". Someone else told me to check a place called GCR in Manchester that supposedly still has these "Dimension IV" tires that are a wide stripe.

| I went down to Brockton yesterday and ended up filling the back of my truck with half of a 74 Impala... I was just going to give the guy 100 bucks for the back three pieces of glass and some other things, but he didn't want to go less than 250 because he was "careful" removing the parts. So I insisted that for 250, I wanted EVERYTHING including my shocks and springs. So I got those, all the glass except the windshield, the whole interior door panel set, dash components, trim, switches, handles, AC system, wiper motor, god knows what else. I haven't even had the motivation to sort through it all yet! | |

| Deffinitly Go with the White walls, they'd look so awesome on that car, my car just has the thin stripe white walls (now brown walls) they look sharp. | |

Small world LOL There is another guy who knows the guy who owns the car now, who is in the green shirt in this photo. I see him (the other guy not pictured) at cruise nights a lot and talk to him, he was telling me the car made it through the demo! My friend Phil went to school at UTI with the green shirt guy "John" I think his name was, I forget.

| Wow, did anyone else look at one of those last pictures (where the car is all apart in the shop) and think "Christine"? The scene where he finds the car destroyed by the other kids. | |

| Matt, even though it is a shame where the car ended up, I think it is very cool that you actually know what happened to it and have a pic of it in demo trim! | |
