| Now that we have a fair amount of members, maybe we could do for those who can't this year.
I was woundering if you guys, as a club, be interested make a one time donation to the Toys For Tots program put on by the United States Marines. Or an organization more local that helps with food, clothing, fuel assistance for those who need it.
Like I said. I would like to do something as a club.
Ideas? Thoughts?

| Tho we are all in some form of need these days, Im a pretty charitable person and wouldnt mind puttin in with some other club members. A family may have xmas dinner sponsored by BADASS of NEW ENGLAND! Its better than being a little league team sponsored by a strip club... | |

| My other thought would be if we knew a family in need, and just helped them. I do want to keep this simple and uncomplicated. And something we all agree to. |

| So I guess the first thing is to figure out which charity we would like to help. It seems like there is enough people willing to participate to make this work.
Phyllis has suggested we find one needy family, and help them. That way we know where our gift went. |

Good idea, Billy. What about a soup kitchen? Great ideas. I like both. I was thinking soup kitchen, or food bank, or even Childrens hospital. Would it be a good idea just to make a poll and the one with the most votes will recive the gift? |

| If you want, I can see if I can find any donation addresses for regional charities/ hospitals at work. Families usually have a place they like donations sent in lieu of flowers. | |

Speak for yourself, I am a selfish jerk. No your not, so get ready to help out. Ok. I think one of two ways will work well. After doing some searching diffrent foundations, I think Toys for Tots is in fact the best place for us to give a gift to. As you can see from the chart, 96.4% of the money goes directly to the children. http://www.toysfortots.org/donate/default.asp Or if someone directly or indirectly knows of a family having it very tough, and could use the help. I know Justin mentioned a family, and if that is the family eveyone would like to help, I am good with that too. After all, the whole ide is to help those who need it. |

| I think I am sold on Toys for Tots. So no need for the poll. It is just such a good thing to help. Phyllis and I do donate a few toys to them almost every year.
Anthony mentioned a toys for tots bowling event in manchester. dec. 4th, put on by a local car club. This sounds like it would be a load of fun.
