True story. Most US bound VW's are built in Mexico Well one day, this guy goes into his local dealer because his new Jetta is making a rattle in the door every time he goes over a bump or opens/closes the door. Well, first time they thought the hinges were just loose, nope, goes back a second time, they replace the interior panel, nope. Goes back a THIRD time. Turns out there were two beer cans wedged inside the door between the outer and inner panels (Jettas have a metal panel between the interior panel and the outer skin). There is a good reason VW is opening a US plant in 2011.

When I was at North Smithfield Auto Salvage, there was a 92-94 Blazer in there like mine because there rear frame horns had rotted and the bumper was basically on the ground. I started picking around inside for hard to find stuff, and found a UAW workers glove stuffed behind the rear quarter interior side panel, GM and UAW logos all over it.
