Wagon Shocks and Springs Empty
PostSubject: Wagon Shocks and Springs   Wagon Shocks and Springs EmptyMon Sep 27, 2010 10:40 am

My wagon is starting to lean a bit on the right and I figure its time for springs and/ or shocks. Anyone have a good recommendation for replacements? I want to either keep the ride height the same, or even get the rear a bit higher but not too much. Rock auto has only one "wagon" spring in their catalog, but there are plenty of shocks. I was considering the: Monroe # 58574 Sensa-Trac Load Adjusting Shock Absorber; Maintains Ride Height Up To 1200 lbs.; Package of Two -are these decent? I also have air ride and would have just replaced the air shocks, but no idea if the compressor works as it was unplugged and the plug contacts are all oxidized and green.

Any sedan shocks will work in a wagon as far as I know. I just paid $15 each for my front shocks and $20 and change for rear air shocks for the Roadmaster from Rock Auto.

How about springs? Will sedan springs fit a wagon?

I have two sets of front wagon springs. You are welcome to have the better of the two sets.
Sedan rear springs are to weak for a wagon.

Should have specified, I'm doing rear shocks. Front's seem good still. As for springs, Rock auto has a bunch of rear springs for Roadmaster wags, those will fit correct?

Yes they will. I would do front shocks, they are cheap enough.
