Radiator provision question Empty
PostSubject: Radiator provision question   Radiator provision question EmptySat Aug 21, 2010 5:05 pm

It's been a while since I did my last radiator swap. Are the fan mounts welded to the radiator or what? I remember the fan drops into notches at the bottom of the radiator and bolts in at the top, but I'm having a hard time picturing it exactly. I'm looking to run lt1 fans on a non lt1 radiator and need to figure out the correct way to mount them.

If anyone has some pics or can just give a good description to get my memory going it'd be appreciated.

That's what I was thinking. Probably have to build a bracket that runs from the core support so that they can be bolted in.

There are three mounting points for each fan.

I've had cars where the bracket on the side is glued (not very well) and some (most) where it is molded into the tank.

I have used a piece of foam and tie wraps on the bottom more than once. Smile
