| I cant remember what tires came on impala ss wheels from the factory...
I know they were bfgoodrich but i cant remember which one exactly
I just got my license back 2 days ago and yesterday my A/C compressor siezed and the motor ate the belt so i am gettin new tires while its in for A/C recharge!!!! | |

P255/50ZR17 Correct size, wrong tire. They were BFGoodrich 255/50/ZR17 Comp T/As. They were the only tires in that size at the time, and had a multi tread patern. I only remember because it was the first and only time I paid $185 per tire for 4 tires after burning the first set off in under 20k miles.  |

| There are much better tires for less money out there. But the kdws's are the only BFG's now available in that size. (but they suck!)  | |

Bill is correct. If you are going to buy new tires, go with Kumho's. They have been around and have good feedback from the national forum. I have Falkens which are about as cheap as you can get in that size, and like them, at $108 each shipped through Discounttiredirect.com. But I have not had them long enough to give you a complete opinion. |

| I had BFGoodrich tires on my first caprice and i beat the hell out of that car and it drove fine even at high speeds! | |

| Well I had BF Goodrich tires on MY first car and I beat the hell out of it and the treads separated from the sidewall. | |

| I had BFG's on my wagon and they were the worst tires I ever drove on. I thought the car was fked up, but as soon as I swapped the tires it drove great.
The 255/50/17 of the BFG size is pretty notorious for having poor grip, and a great tendency to follow every groove on the road. There are MUCH better tires out there for the money. | |
