Hey Guys,

So has anyone been wondering where Garry (gsxr-garry) has been? I've been wondering for a bit now myself.

Well, today I got a letter in the mail from him. Yeah, snail-mail. It was a bit of a shock, to say the least. Anyways, short story is: He and his wife took the Roadie to Florida to visit family over the Holidays. Got T-boned by a Mack truck in Jacksonville on the way home. They are both banged up pretty good, but are recovering and the outlook is good. I won't get into specifics here, I'll let Garry do that when he is able to finally sit at the computer and log in. But they were just recently able to transfer home, so that is awesome news. He just wanted to let me know that he was still around, what happened and that they are both basically ok. He'll get on here as soon as he is up to it to fill us all in.

So guys, keep him and his wife in your prayers, or send some well wishes, or good vibes, or happy thoughts, or whatever it is you do their way. Sounds like they can sure use it.

I've got his address and phone number. So if anyone wants to give him a buzz or send a card or something, shoot me an email or pm and I'll get you the info.

Glad to hear you guys are both still around to tell the tale, Garry! Holy Shit! That old girl sacrificed her life to save you two. Gotta love these big cars! Seriously though man, I am really, truly happy that the two of you made it through that mess. Hope to see you around soon and hope to meet you both in person at some event(s) this year! Heal up, brothah (and sistah), so we can git you fitted into a new B body!!!!

Glad your on the mend and back at home to recoup. I have had big Buicks since 1974 and the two thing I bought them for were Safety and Protection. I didn't care about mileage. I'm sure your Roadmaster protected you. You will find another, but you will have to look hard for a better deal than your last one. Ha Ha!

I am sorry a normaly good time turned tragic. But the fact the both of you were able to make it back to New England just means you are on your way to recovery. Having a B-body probably helped save your life.
As Bill said, when you are up to it and ready. We will help with the car replacement. Which is actually the easy part.

There's alot to be said for cars that have actual steel bodies mounted on actual steel frames.

just got off from the phone with gerry. hes messed up bad. in a wheel chair. lot of internal injuries. what bothers him the most is he cant remember any thing. his wife not quite as bad. if that can say any thing. he was hit in the driver side by a freigthliner in a small town. all he remembers is going threw a green light. big truck hits him. doesnt need any thing. bills paid, food on the table. he wants to tell billy mac how much better he feels after billy called him. said he was feeling pretty depressed.his phone with all the numbers gone. his mother bought him another one. i asked him if he wanted me to give his numbers out. the only one he could think of was billy c.thats all he knew and he wants me to thank him.i said this forum sticks together. what ever he needs we will all be there for him and his wife. so with that said ill pm bill c his numbers. but im like larry cote sr. ex military we have a chain of command. and his mother is taking care of every thing. ive never been this long winded. heres the bad thing. on top of all this doesnt know where his car is. :(drs say six weeks should be able to feel any improvement). gerry said he tried to get to the computer to reply couldnt do it. but thank you to every one.

Holy crap, this is devastating but at least they made it out alive. Roadmasters save lives. My father was rearended in a 1980 Coupe Deville (my first car) by a tractor trailer and it was the same situation...a smaller car and he wouldn't have survived.
