| Does anyone out there have a good trunk weatherstrip seal, from a none leaking trunk, that you are willing to part with? The trunk of my 1994 silber Caprice leaks like hell, checked seal and she has had it! I call a friend at GM yesterday hoping to purchase a new one, part number 1079815, out of stock. New it would have only cost me $49.37!.
If anyone has one please drop me a message letting me know how much shipped to Limington, Maine 04049.
Respectfully, Larry Deputy347K9

| I have a brand new one that I've been holding onto for a couple years now. The box isn't holding up to well so I'd have to check the condition of it. FWIW I got it from gmpartsdirect.com They still list it at the price you said of $49.37 plus shipping and it's listed under the trunk lid section. | |

| I've got the one from my LTZ. I've got all the stripping hanging up in my garage. I'll check when I'm home for thanksgiving to make sure.
It's not connected in a loop like the doors right?

| I saw the one GM direct is currently selling, however, I checked with local Chevrolet dealer for the correct part number and then ran that with GM direct. That comes up not in stock. I am wondering if what they are selling is a generic one fits all? I would really like to have the correct one if at all possiable. Once you check out your new one please let me know I am in need! I am assuming yours is the correct part number from GM?

| Hey Fishah, the trunk stripping is open at the bottom most point with a little rubber/plastic piece that inserts into both ends to hold it together. As long as the piece is still in one of the ends it's good to go.
Larry, I'll hit my storage later this week and let you know the part numbers on the box and see if it's what your looking for. I bought it to fix my leaky trunk and then discovered my trunk was leaking for other reasons and it's sat ever since. I have no clue if it's direct GM or not since I haven't looked too closely at it in a while, but I'll let you know as soon as I find out. I figure Thursday I'll get the chance to get over there.

| Just updating you Larry, I'm going to storage tomorrow afternoon and I'll grab the weatherstripping and send you the info off the lable. If it's what your looking for I'll send it out to you either tomorrow afternoon or Saturday morning. I'd like to get $40 shipped, but it could be negotiated. | |

| Smart ass I hit storage tonight and the seal I have is GM part #10279815 and I appearently ordered it on 7/3/07 so if that's the right part number considering the date (I know gm updates part numbers) then you're in luck. I can send it out tomorrow if you get me your address and you should have it middle to late next week. I can ship it quicker but it costs more so I'd rather avoid it. You can Paypal me at indecisivebrad@hotmail.com and select personal instead of purchase at the bottom of the pay screen to try and avoid the fees. If there are any problems we'll figure it out. Either way the stuffs in the mail tomorrow once I get your address. | |
